I know on Ebay there are some dishonest sellers trying to pass off 3D printed figures along with reprinted cards and bubbles as actual real deal vintage. Some even have gone through the trouble of getting the fakes graded and bubbled in a protective case.
A repro is still a repro and should not be so expensive and sellers need to be honest about what they are offering exactly. With the above understood, does anyone know of a place/seller who offers vintage repro's for reasonable prices (not hundreds of dollars)? For simply display purposes (on a wall or shelf) they still look really nice and can easily pass off as real deal vintage. Anyone know of any? |

david78x2 is the seller I use quite a bit, has lots of great recarded figures and I think I've got some Black Major and custom Storm Shadow carded figures before. A good recard for a hard to find figure (82 to 85) should be around 75 to 125, depending on the quality. He's great, and will usually honor a reasonable "Make Offer" request.
I realized I'd never get a carded Baroness, Storm Shadow 1 or Firefly 1 for less than 500 dollars, so I tried recards (did the same with a vintage Star Wars Droids Boba Fett) and love them. Slap them in a Protech Star Case and it's virtually indistinguishable. |

These are awesome looking!
Imagine this ever gets to like the G1 Transformers boxed Chinese KO's on the bay? 40 dollar boxed G1 Primes, etc. That would be a pipedream for Joe I know. Again, just for display purposes I gotta say they really do wonders for those nostalgia feelz. |

There's another guy that specializes in Star Wars recards, forgot his seller name. I got a Boba Fett and Emperor's Royal Guard from him and they're great quality. He has several pages of items.

I’ve done a lot of recards for my own display. The recard process is pretty straightforward. Have you tried recarding yourself? It’ll save you in the long run price wise. Check out beggarscanyontoys, pretty good quality cards. All you need is a figure in decent shape and some double sided tape.
