I was wondering if any of you would hold off on buying any "Rise Of Cobra" toy that was "A Real American Hero" themed just in case Hasbro decides to release them in their correct colors for a continuation of the Modern Era line in 2010 and beyond?
The reason why I ask this is because there are a few ARAH themed figures and vehicles that are out now, or due to come out in the future during the ROC line, but they are different in color from their ARAH counter parts. Recently we have seen the new ROC Snake Trax vehicle released using the ARAH Cobra Ferret mold. I would love to see this in the Modern Era line using ARAH colors. Next you have the ARAH Snake Armor coming out as a Target exclusive for the Roc line. I would also like to see this in the Modern Era line in its ARAH colors. The Target exclusive Cobra Jet Pack on the other hand seems as if the colors look like they are close enough to the 1987 ARAH version. We are going to be seeing many of these ARAH themed ROC toys being shown at this year's SDCC. So far they have shown images of the Snow Cat which looks like it's colored very closely to it's ARAH counterpart. They have also shown a few of the mini playsets, but the pics are shadowed at the moment. Last but not least we come to the figures. So far we have gotten ARAH themed Thunder (Thunderblast) and Heavy Metal (Rampage) figures, but I wonder if these would be released again with their ARAH vehicles. Then there are the ROC Target exclusive 5-packs that have Dial Tone (female), Law & Order, Zartan (Joe disguise), Footloose and Repeater. They are all in desert cammo and look nothing like their ARAH counterparts, except for Repeater but he apears to have darker skin. I would love a Law & Oder, Footloose, and Repeater, but I would like them in their ARAH colors. Do you think we will get them later on down the line? I would also like a male version of Dial Tone in his ARAH colors, but it looks as if Habro is going with this new female version for now on. I really want these things, but in their ARAH colors. I'm thinking of holding out on buying the ROC versions to see if I ever get my wish. Are you planning on doing the same?

The more I see the RoC done well, the less I'm "needing" ARAH colored figures.
I don't like the Blue Pajama Camo, but really many of the ARAH figures are not colored better.. and I don't want them either :\

If they look good I will buy them. Then I'll buy them again if they come out in their original colours*
Just that simple. *if I have the money |

They fit in well enough with 25th stuff. I will buy them as I see them cool enough to be purchased. I mix all my figs together anyway.

I'll get what comes out, when it comes out. If I end up with re-paints, I'll use the lesser of the two as custom fodder- wither way I figure I'm still happy

What? I'll get whatever figures I like. I already have 3 different Wild Bills, it can't get much worse than that.

Eh... Figure wise, I've been mostly having custom versions of characters made. I have a Footloose in progress and seeing Hasbro's desert camo 5-pack version of him... Yeah, I'l stick to the custom idea. Looks like I'll be having to have a Law and Repeater made as well. The modern line of ARAH may be over, but at least the ROC seems to have some parts that are useable for customs.
Vehicle wise... I'll replace the ROC Joe logos with ARAH and they're fine. They don't need to be exactly the same colors as they're still the classic vehicles. |

I'll hold off on the figures, but it may not be possible to hold off on those mini-playsets. ROC commercial comes on TV as I type this. lol
