We did it! We've blown through the $15,000 goal for the book and the two new 24"x36" 1986-1987 Vehicle + Playset posters. There's a ton of people to thank, so please visit this update for the credits:

300 backers! Thank you ALL so much. I'm thrilled to see the positive responses to this project have not waned. I'm very much looking forward to Volumes 4 and 5, and the slipcase to hold them all!

We did it! With your help we will have produced three books covering the painted art of G.I.Joe from 1982-1987. I'm blown away by the continued support and enthusiasm for this project, and I am humbled that I have the honor of working on it. Thank you once again to Chad Hucal for his help with image restoration, and to Dan Carroll, Dan Moore, Jim Carlisi, Joe Botta and Tim Dz for their many contributions. Finally, thank you to every one of you for believing in this work and sharing my excitement for the Art of G.I.Joe!

Save the date for this Saturday May 14th @ 5pm – the Triangle Joes Meetup is ON!
What’s the occasion?! Well you have been keeping an eye on the site you know 3D Joes had a 3rd consecutive successful kickstarter celebrating the history of Joe artwork. Well the Kickstarter books are getting produced so we are going to help get them ready to Dragonfly their way the P.I.T.S. where they belong! We will be celebrating at the 3D Joes God-Father Carson's house and there will be food, beer, friends and of course G.I.Joes. Activities include: - Cramming your faces with pizza, snacks, soda/beer (bring whatever you want to share, Carson get the pizza!) - Watching classic Joe cartoons on the big screen… well, a 2002 era 42” plasma, but the contrast ratio is great! - Folding hundreds of cardboard boxes* * Carson is even promising a surprise for those who help! But like we need any incentive! This is Joe History in the making! Preserved for all time! The Details: Saturday May 14th, 5pm-10pm 1528 Carson Street Raleigh NC, 27608 (In the five points neighborhood, downtown Raleigh. Street name is not a typo.) Text or call Carson at (919)741-0171 for any directions on Saturday. Please RSVP before 12pm Saturday so we will know how much Pizza to order! |

^ what he said! ^
Really though, if you're close by consider coming! We've got a great group of guys and we'd love to welcome more of you into the Triangle Joes. Box folding won't take more than an hour and we've got some fun stuff planned for afterwards. |
