I did not even know there was such a thing. That is great, I need to go buy some more posters or something to show some support. Once I find out if/when the club is charging me this month for the FSS I'll get some stuff. You do good work 3DJoes!

Book week rolls on at 3DJoes with "Operation Raging River!”
Operation Raging River (1987) - 3DJOES Earl Norem’s brush did not grace G.I.Joe for four years after fully illustrating "Operation: Disappearance!” and the covers of "The Spy Eye," "Operation: Decoy,” and "The Trojan Gambit” for Marvel Books in 1983. In 1987, Marvel once again hired Mr. Norem to paint what are arguably the most beautiful G.I.Joe books in the brand’s 50 year existence. Check back in all week as we finish out the 1986 and 1987 books, and check out all of the books documented to date on the books overview page: Books overview - 3DJOES |

I only had two of those books as a kid, and one read along transformers book. I had no idea the art was that good in some of them. I'm going to have to try to track those down.
Great update 3DJoes! |

Thanks Trigue! Yeah, I just built my book collection over the last two years. They were all < $20 shipped through auctions on eBay. Half of the thrill for me is collecting, the other half is sharing with you all... so I'm glad you are enjoying them! I'd go for all of the Earl Norem books if you can (83 and 87).

Great stuff.
Strange the artwork used Hawk V1, but Roadblock V2 (the comic switched to HAWK v2 but slow to switch to Roadblock V2), and still using Cobra Troopers but Raging River also uses Vipers. Cobra Commander and Destro's voices on Destro's Doomsday Auction are worth the listen. LOL. Surprising they shot people in Destro's Doomsday Auction. |
