3DJoes Presents The G.I. Joe Mobile Strike Force Team Blockbuster Membership Kit - HissTank.com
35 years ago (!!!), The 1982 product catalog and a black and white one-sided offer (both seen on the 1982 catalogs and offers page) featured an offer to join the G.I.Joe Mobile Strike Force Team. Collectors received an assortment of awesome G.I.Joe related items when they joined. Our friends at 3DJoes have cataloged this awesome Membership Kit and have added it to the site! The set included:
How awesome is that? Were you a part of the Mobile Strike Force Team?

I got into Joes 1984 when I discovered the cartoon, and my mom finally bought me my first Joe in 1986 (Dialtone), so I did't get my hands on this kit until adulthood. It's a ton of fun collecting and documenting all of the awesome that I missed as a kid.

My brother and I had been into Joes since 82, we both had the kit. Any chance of this being offered through 3D joes??? I'd love to buy a few sets.

I missed out on most of the mail-away promotions as we grew up very poor and couldn't afford it. I was lucky to get the comics along with a figure and the occasional vehicle growing up.
Very cool to see it all documented and cataloged for easy viewing! You're doing a wonderful job Carson!

Hello fellow Tankers!
3DJoes is turning 5 years old this month, and to celebrate we are rolling out our NC Comicon interview with Larry Hama, our new logo, and $5 posters! First things first, we sat down with Larry Hama back in March at NC Comicon. Mr. Hama discussed everything from landing the job in 1981, to Creating "The Enemy," inventing file cards, bringing Ninjas into G.I.Joe, getting fired and rehired, the importance of humanizing "The Enemy," and being immortalized in plastic. Here's the full interview: https://youtu.be/Qf-o4PLpuaQ And here's a playlist broken into small thematic chunks: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...EXWjCgjJK18OSF As you can see, we gave 3DJoes a new three-dimensional logo! We think it's a fitting evolution of the brand, and we hope you like it. We also got you all something: $5 posters! To celebrate 3DJoes' 5th birthday, all 24"x36" 3DJoes posters are just $5 from now through August 31st! All 3DJoes posters are shipped via USPS Priority mail domestically and USPS First Class internationally. First, select the appropriate shipping by selecting "Add to Cart." Then, load up on as many posters as you'd like! Finally, hit "Checkout" in the top right corner under "Cart." We've never had a sale like this, and we're not likely to do it again. So load up while you can, they won't last forever! Posters - 3DJOES Collecting the Art of G.I.Joe: Volume 5 (1990-1992) and Volume 6 (1993-1994) are in development and we cannot wait to finish the series. We anticipate a late Fall kickstarter for a Christmas delivery of Volume 5, and then we are aiming to be down with the final volume before JoeCon 2018. With your help, we'll get there! Thank you ALL for your support, especially the HISSTank news team for always being so supportive and helping me get the word out! Carson Last edited by 3DJoes; 08-03-2017 at 03:12 PM.. |
