Great picture to see so many comparisons. Out of those, I think the most striking updates are the Snow Serpent and Wild Weasel. Amazing difference in those two.

Since the beginning of the line this is how I've thought about displaying mine, but I just have some kind of crazy fear that it would be bad for my vintage figures to be sitting out on a shelf. I guess I imagine they're more fragile than they really are, I guess they need fresh air too.
edit: oh, and your display looks freaking awesome. You've got all the essentials and it makes me wonder if one really needs any more than that. I get a lot of figures, but I always feel happiest for the most part displaying these core characters.
