Back when I was about 10 (Long ago) I remember getting the Dragonfly when it was 1st out. After literally a few hours of playing with it I noticed it "Slipping". We took it back but the shop wouldn't exchange it (They're out of business now). My Dad took the thing apart and we swapped the internals for a small battery driven motor, much better! Back to the topic.... If you can carefullly part the 2 main body halves (Remove tail rotor, nose cone, jet nozzles, body halves are lightly glued byt normally can be pulled apart, maybe with some coxing from a knife) You could take the gear box out. It's usually either the plastic toothed strip that has bent with age and does not connect or there'll be teeth missing from the main cog. They might still be rattling about in the gear box. Maybe glue them back??? If the toothed strip is bent, you could try warming it and carefully bending it back straight. TBH I have a really nice condition Dragonfly and the mech hasn't worked ever since I bought it!

Thanks for the info, i actually have like 3 or 4 shells for the dragonfly that came with lots i bought, i just went and dug thru the 2 huge boxes of parts i have and found them. I didnt realize i had that many "spares" perhaps i can disassemble one of the extras and see if its something im willing to try on a finished one without damaging it. i guess at this point i need help figuring out how to get the tail rotor thingy off and seperating the halves with out severe damage.
