I here a lot of hate for this line on here. Though they are pretty bad figures, they really aren't the worst. (anyone remember Gi Joe Xtreme? blah)

The SLIPSTREAM and ACE figures are the best imo, they look like real pilots with authentic gear, I hunt them down all the time, I only like to use these two, every other ace and slipstream do not come even close. Not even the 25th ANNIV line, that should have been Payload with a EVA pack, dude looks like a space jockey.

people bought them because they were new joes. Then it set in that they were made poorly.
WE didnt know better. we just wanted new joes! I hate that line. |

I liked the line because it updated old characters. I hope some of those figures get Modern Era body style figures. The are so many great new figures they could grab from VvV.

I didn't like anything past the early 90's ARAH. Until the 25th line that is.

I only collected the ones that looked cool. Suffice to say my V vs V collection is very small.

I liked them. The 25th blow them away, but on thier own I liked them. I collect Star Wars too. The articulation on the VVV line was way better than anything Star Wars has put out except for maybe the newer clones.

There were some realy great designs and some realy crappy designs. Overall, The Body Proportions, constant repaints, and Baby-toy vehicles ruined the line for me.

Ace is the best one they made. Beachhead comes in second. Kamakura is not that bad. Hell for 3 bucks, kinda hard to pass up. I have to say, Baroness is awful. She looks like a transvestite!!!!!

I voted yes, but let me clarify. The construction is bad, and I don't like that.
BUT, the designs of the uniforms and the ideas for new characters such as cross-hair, Med Alert, Barrel Roll, Bombstrike, Dart, Blackout, etc were GREAT! I think that if the characters were given updated looks in the Modern Era Line (Like Glenda) they could easily stand alongside the classic heros. |
