Ok first off Hello Hisstank, I am TFW2005er that collects mostly Transformers and some He-man. I started an account to get some info because I can't seem to find any through google and I can't search this forum without being a member. I buy collections locally looking for Transformers. Well long story short I bought a collection from an ex-Hasbro employee that worked in Production for the GI Joe line in the late 80's through the 90's. In this collection were many awesome GI Joes Items. I decided to go through and see if their were any prototypes or whatever and found that I have 2 each of 5 out of the 6 Manimals scheduled for release in 1994. Of course the missing figure is Vortex. I talked to the guy I got the collection from and he gave me a background on the toys but I would like to know if anyone has any price points or ideas of what they sell for? They are the sealed bag versions and are not carded. They include all the weapons also. In my excitement I listed them on Ebay but I really want to get an idea of what I have because I have been bombarded by offers. The funny thing was that the same toy store, here in Rhode Island that sold that Unreleased Ninja Force figure for $3 last year or so also passed on this collection telling the owner that GI Joe was dead and they weren't buying anymore right now. Thanks a lot for any help and here are some photos

Wow really? I've had quite a few offers in the $3000-4000 range but thought only with Vortex included could it reach such a high price. I was actually going to take the auction down until I got more info and quite frankly the my e-mail inbox was blowing up

Should top that easily. There was a display last year at Joe con with all of them and the last prices they sold for. I can't remember exactly what they hit but the cheapest were still in the thousands.

I picked up two test shot Iron Grenadiers at the store I think you are refering to for about $3.00 or $6.00 a piece. I can't remember, but they were cheap.
By any chance did you get the manimals in a huge lot with tons of WWF figures? If so, I past it up and have been kicking myself ever since. I didn't know what was in it, I was simply asked by a relative to kick in $6,000 for the lot. At the time I had a baby on the way and a house purchase in the works. That's a lot of doe for who knows what. Turned out the haul had a ton of pre-production figures, original artwork and unreleased figures. I keep telling myself the baby and house were more important, but man did I miss out Freaking Joe's, I'm so addicted I probably wouldn't have wanted to sell any of it! |

This is great! I almost wished I collected Joe's just for these but they really should go to a collector who will appreciate them more than me. The lot was just in the basement of an older couples house that are moving away and need space and don't want to move a ton of stuff. They just decided to sell the stuff this week so before this they never really had anyone take a look at the stuff. Now I have to figure out how I'm going to ship these safely if they do go for big $$. Does Ebay or Paypal have an special policies on big dollar items?
