I think star brigade could of been cooler if they left out the alien part. i think we all like the defiant right? hardtop and payload anyone? some must alot cuz its pretty dam expensive for that stuff.
fighting cobra in space was inevitable with that direction. but FREEKIN ALIENS!!WTF!? and street fighter uh yeah, i dont care who argues how much. not a part of gijoe.neither is mortal kombat. monstro viper ftw! |

I voted Star Brigade for every reason you guys said, It took alot of the realisim out and thats what I liked about Joe. I really Hated the Ninja Force figures just because they had action features which took alot of the playabilty away(I really liked the Storm Shadow Redesign tho).
I remember thinking how cheesy Eco Warriors were, but in hindsight I respect the fact that Hasbro tried to have a social concience, even just to sell toys I liked Tiger force just cause the colors on the figures matched annd they looked like a unit. I think the DEF were my favorites, I cant really say why. I even put other figures into the DEF(Spirit and Barricade mostly) |

The only Subset I liked was SkyPatrol and Nightforce
Imho I wasn't a big fan of the rest.

All the above. Each time Hasbro did a subset, I thought it was like jumping the shark.

Battle Force 2000.
The other subsets were at least aware that they sucked. Tiger Force was great if only to pick up characters you missed or broke from the years before. And a couple Battle Force figs were okay, but it is the deceitfulonstrosity known as the "Future Fortress" that killed them for me. I HAD to complete this thing after enjoying a couple of their vehicles, but it crushed my dreams and tatooed my fresh young face with thundering disappoinent. Really? A Fortress? More like vehicle refuse parked near each other, vaguely arranged in a squarish shape. No actual connection. No room to walk in this thing, if you're sitting down, you're there until the other vehicles come back and retrieve the turds they left behind. Why not just park the actual vehicles in a circle for defense? Because that wouldn't make innocent children cry, that's why. And Dee-Jay is the worst. The only vehicle he brought to the table was cultural diversity, his lesson being that in the far off land of the year 2000, the black guy's only mode of transportation would be hideous moon shoes(I still remember the ugly feeling of buying this guy just to finish the series that year) So he just stands around the perimiter of the Fortress of Failure, intimidating cobra with his remarkably phallic backpack and gun. |
