Just saw and ordered a couple of these. I guess they're new. I hadn't seen them mentioned on here. I bought one each of the classic Steel Brigade and a Gold head SB. It'll be nice having some SB's I won't have to worry about breaking thumbs on. It looks like the colors are different enough not to be confused with the classic figures, and the SB patch being silver rather then white and of course the rivets being slightly smaller and not painted.

I bought a couple too but what's with the quote "guns do not fit in hands" in the description? I guess that's to warn about broken thumbs but I though black major figures weren't as brittle as vintage figures. Can anybody confirm this?

It's probably where they recast them and came out larger. But then even the old vintage guns have really large handles too. Might have to file down the handles some. I'll have to dig out the other figures I have from black major and see how guns work with them. I don't recall having too many issues with them, other than backpacks and foot pegs.

They look awesome. I want a couple of these and a couple of the vipers they've come out with. Has anyone purchased the new vipers recently who can comment on their quality? Thanks

I got a few of these figures recently. Overall they are decent. The description in that auction is accurate, you flat out cannot get the gun in the figure's hand. I bought 6 figures and I managed it get it in only 1 of them. I had to microwave some hot water put the hand in the water to soften the plastic. Then I opened the hand up with a fork. Now they fit.
The o-rings in this latest batch of figures are pretty bad. They are on the loose side and look thinner. They are also a orange-looking color. Not that the color matters, but just thought it was odd. I like these figures but I wasn't overly impressed with the selection. Other than the desert and artic ones, the other custom versions just appeared to be another run of picking colors from the rainbow. As for the gold head version, the chest color is quite a bit different which is good. Shouldn't have a problem with people trying to sell them as the real thing. |

Matt, Vipers are good solid quality figures, only issue is the helmet is tight on that particular head.
Actually like the Steel Brigade colors, my only issue is the different emblem for the red & white versions, think they should all have the SB emblem. The thumbs are indeed thicker than normal, hence the reason the weapons don't fit. Still holding out hope we eventually get the Estrela Cobra Soldado figure (Cobra Soldier in bright blue) from the Black Major team. |

Actually, he did make them except with a black logo. If you aren't on Instagram, get on it and send him a friend request. He seems to post new stuff there first and to Facebook/Ebay later.

Good to hear, thanks for the heads up! I'll definitely look into getting in contact with him regarding these. Just browsed his Instagram feed & found a recent pic of the one you're referring to, so hopefully these start showing up on Ebay soon. Last week I picked up one of the Tiger Force Troopers, pretty cool figure.
