all caught up on 25th/ME save for a few that ill gather over the next year since the movie line sucks.

Grind Iron and Freefall were the last two GI Joes that I remember purchasing before I discovered girls and noticed that GI Joe was looking more neon and less cool (sorry!). I am not sure what it was about Capt Grid Iron that was so cool, but he was added to my usual squad from hat point on, even when there was no need for football grenades. I did miss out on some cool figures when I stopped buying but I did discover girls. Later, once I had some disposable income, I started sporadically buying GI Joes as I saw, mostly Toys R US exlusives and then a bunch of 2002-2005 line. It didn't seem like GI Joe until 2007, though, with the 25th.

Reason: I have yojoe.com opened in another tab and I still spelled Freefall wrong!

I remember some Woolworths 2-packs with the likes of Pathfinder in, and they'll be the last ones I got at regular retail. I kept buying classics via the internet right up until the Joe vs Cobra relaunch and the t-crotch "controversy", when I began all over again. I guess in one way or another, I've never stopped buying Joes... EDIT - Until now

The last vehicle I got was the Python Patrol A.S.P. & Python Patrol STUN.

The '84 series was the last one I remember getting-Blowtorch was one of the last figures I got in 8th grade. I was still buying the Marvel Comic 'till Spring of '86, when I quit around issue # 53-54. Even back then, I saw the line was changing-and not for the better. I thought Zartan was too fantastic, and the line was all ready repeating itself-Footloose should have been Grunt version 2. September '85 I started high school, and kind of lost intrest in joes. You ask me, 85 was the best year of the ARAH era.

I thought a lot of the figures were great, especially Duke, Cobra Commander, Beach Head, Frostbite, Cross Country, Shipwreck and Stalker. I also really liked the Mud Buster. I guess I never really ditched the line so much as it was cancelled, lol.
