I can tell you the last figures I got but not which one was last. The only 86 stuff I bought was...
Hawk, Beachhead, Dial-Tone, Monkeywrench, and 2 Vipers. either a viper or hawk was last i believe , but I'd only be guessing... Started getting them again in 2002 or so.....ferociously by 2004.

First Joes/Cobras in 1983, and I collected heavy until 1990, where I only got one figure, Captain Grid-Iron. I missed out on solid figures like Freefall, SAW Viper, & Rock Viper.
The last vintage ARAH fig I got was 1991 Hawk, and only because my younger brother got him for me (he remembered that Hawk was my favourite Joe). I then collected sporadically in 1998, 200 & 2001, but didn't really get started again until 2002. I enjoyed various incarnations of characters from 2003-2006, but it was 2007 and the 25th anniversary figures that got me seriously rolling......since then I have never slowed.

Last figures I bought were from '87 and included Cobra Commander (Fred), Jinx, Fastdraw, and yes even Raptor.
Last vehicles were from '86 and were the Tomahawk, Stun, Havoc and Devilfish. I regret not getting the Terror Drome but my interest was fading. I almost got back in with the new sculpt era, but they weren't my Joes. The 25th though, wow! Childhood nostalgia at it's best.

I never gave up on ARAH, ARAH gave up on me! Before the internet and before toy magazines were around how could you keep track of your favorite toys? you couldnt! you just went to the store and saw what was out.
I remember eventually there were no more GI Joes. They were replaced by Street Fighter toys, then came SGT Savage, then GI JOE Extreme! The last vehicle I bought was the Patriot and the last figure was Guile. It wassnt the same Joe again for a long time, not till Venom vs. Valor.

I think '88 was the last line I went out of my way to collect, after that things we pretty piece meal until '91 where I'm pretty sure the last fig I got was General Hawk (with the jet pack) and I think the last vehicle I bought was the Locust. It wasn't like I didn't want to buy Joe stuff I just didn't like the direction Hasbro was going with the line. It wasn't until the '05 direct to Consumer line came out I started to collect Joe again.
