Were they size 8, size 9 or size 10?
I am thinking they were size 9 looking at one today but I have no idea if it's the right size or not. Anyone know for sure?

For those who do not want to click on the link, it's size #8 for the '82 -'84 year figures and #9 for '85 -'94 years.

I must be using #9 o-rings then because I always have some problems with the '82 -'84 year figures, especially getting one of my Cobra troopers to close all of the way.

numer 8's are too big for the early year joes. you have to wedge the rubber bandbetween the arms and head with a flathead screwdriver before closing the torso. otherwise you risk strippimg out the threads on the chest .witch = bad times

Thanks everyone, I had noticed a few earlier figures I had gotten seemed to have too big of an o-ring and they probably had a #9 in it instead of #8. Makes sense now. Thanks again!

Very good info. I've been hesitant to change the o-rings in the early year figures.
