Great WHITE Battle Platform.

Picked up this yellowed battle platform from a local sale and went gave it a bath in peroxide and let it sit for 12 hours or more? This time it left the decals on because they are in good shape so I took a chance and left them on. And they are just fine if not better!! I am so happy I just may keep it. Might. Take a look at the clear plastic part. I used this car stuff called plastix to clear it up. I'm kicking myself that I didn't take before pics.

More info on this process is that I am sure you need sun to do this. It was inside all day and once I got home I put it outside and that's when it really started to get white!!

That's nice and clean. I need to do something similar with my TTBP. What type of peroxide did you use?

It's right out of the box white! It's a 30 grade found at hair salon stores.

Amazing stuff man, I never thought to use peroxide to clean plastic. So it doesn't have a tendency to make it brittle? I suppose that why it's probably recommended to use Peroxide and not Bleach, right?

Do you have to submerge it in the peroxide?

No you don't! In about a 1/2 inch in a sealed clear tight container.

I soaked mine in bleach for a whole week and it didn't make it brittle at all. And that was a year ago. I decided to use the bleach on mine because the Peroxide I had just wasn't doing the job.

How much did you pay for the TTBP? I've been thinking of getting one off ebay, but the prices vary so much. Hard to tell what's a good deal for this thing.

I picked it up in a lot with a bunch of other stuff. I would think $40 to $50 is a fair price complete.
