Anyone know how it is supposed to work, have a scan of the blueprints and can take it apart to show how the spring loaded mechanism is hooked up.

It swings around in a clockwise motion.

Does it not swing/spin? Or does it not stay locked down?
As the wheels turn they cause a small hook to move forward or backward...that hook is what locks the top turret or allows it to pop loose and do its spin thing. |

The hook works.
Problem is when I turn it clockwise, the spring won't engage that it swings around. |

Is the Pile Driver new or used? If it was played with a lot it may not be fixable. I have a used and a new one and both work randomly and not that well. I think it's a poor design.
