Received a complete Hiss II today, unfortunately a small piece on the back of the Hiss broke during shipping - I knew it when I picked up the box and heard a small piece of plastic moving around. I will end up buying another Hiss II and completing it with other parts from this one. Needless to say it's a great tank - just a supersized, improved version of the original - I like the pink canopy against the blueish gray body - if the turret were in another color I think it would be a much more sought after vehicle.
As an aside - when I started getting back into vintage collecting I was buying up alot of everything and then I had a an idea of wanting to make my Joe and Cobra verse as realistically military as possible - only buying certain vehicles that fit that criteria due to vehicle design and colors. Once I made that my goal I found myself parting with vehicles that I had purchased when I was going vintage initially - the Hiss II must be the 6th or 7th vehicle I reacquired after parting with them - off the to of my head are the Paralyzer (I initially had two - sold them off due to their orange color), the aforementioned Hiss II (also had two of those which I sold off), MudBuster, Badger, Desert Scorpion (had two of these and stupidly sold them both off) and Mudfighter. Over the past few months I have been getting into reading alot of the great blogs out there - Mike T's Forgotten Figures, The Viper Pit, The Dragon Fortress and there are alot of great shots of Joe/Cobra vehicles that don't always have the most realistic colors but they just look great in those images. They have played a big role in me going back and expanding my GI Joe vehicle collection. Has anyone else gone through a phase like that? I'll be honest with me the hobby has had phases throughout my adulthood - I am certainly not in all my glory like I was back in 2017 when I was able to pretty much get whatever I wanted due to additional income from selling off my 25th/Modern era stuff as well as a small side business refurbishing and selling used laptops. It's just fun to go back and be able appreciate (or regain an appreciation) for items you had, got rid of and decided to buy again (it's a little insane too). And when it came to the Cobra vehicles like the Cobra Parasite, I'd repaint those the Cobra blue color or black. But when it came to the Cobra BUGG, Buzz Boar, Pogo Battle Ball, I kept their original colors. |

Great custom stickers on the F-22. I can feel my arm being twisted into getting one again - ideally in near mint condition.
Here are my latest hauls. Nothing too exciting. I am particularly happy with getting the 2005 TRU Hydrofoil at a decent price - only issues are two of the small guns posts are broken and one broke off in the slot where the guns are placed and one engine cover tab is broken. The Brawler and Battle Bunker are both complete and in great condition. |

This weekend's monthly local Joe meet I picked up one of the last vehicles I needed to have them all... the Armor-Bot.
I know not a lot of guys don't like the Star Brigade stuff, and the Armor-Bot is one goofy ass vehicle, but it was for kids, and if I were a kid again, I'd eat this thing up! It's really fucking cool. I was able to get the antennas off eBay and a few extra missiles as well to put in the storage areas, so he'll be complete for about $70, not bad. His electronics still work too. I'm now down to only needing 18 more vehicles to have everything released from 1982-94 (excluding mail away variants and Street Fighter.) Here's what I need now. As you can see they are some of the expensive and harder to find stuff. 1. Viper Glider 2. Falcon Glider 3. Dreadnok Air Assault Fang 4. Dreadnok Air Assault Sky Hawk 5. Dreadnok Ground Assault RAM 6. Night Force Night Blaster 7. Night Raider 8. Night Striker 9. Night Ray 10. Night Scrambler 11. Skymate's Glider 12. Cloudburst's Glider 13. Skycreeper's Glider 14. Spirit's Glider 15. Air Devil's Glider 16. 1992 Headquarters 17. Toxo-Lab 18. Blockbuster Most of the Sears stuff and Night Force stuff I'll make customs using their regular versions. I'll replace as I happen upon them. The Night Force Whale I'll probably have to bite the bullet and buy a sealed one to ensure I get it complete. The rest will just take time.

Speaking of my younger brother....I just looked up the price of that Toxo Lab, holy smokes. I should go swindle him out of it (Kidding!). Can't believe that neon piece of crap is selling for $130-$200.

There's nothing under the Flagg, so it's wasted space. The new wall is going to fix that. This space I'm going to add more shelves... I scoured every Ross and TJ Maxx to find those cabinet organizers to use for my figures. Pictured here are half of the figures I have, I need to add another row of shelves for them...
