Yea I just finished up an ebay rampage - ended up getting a lot with an almost complete Avalanche, Hammer and Patriot for 23 bucks and Overlord's Dictator for 5 bucks along with another lot of mostly joes for 20 bucks. Looking forward to getting everything - especially the Avalanche as I want to do a restore on it.
The Hammer is a vehicle I really like - probably one of the best vehicles the line ever released but it's so damned big - being so out of scale threw me off when I had it in the past. I may end up completing it as more of a long term project just for the sake of having it and throw some Modern Era Figures in it. The Patriot - no one wants that vehicle anyways so I will just complete it and throw it on my 90s vehicle shelf. |

Got my 90/91 hauls today. The Avalanche and Hammer are both in good condition - just need to be cleaned. Avalanche is missing the two spring loaded missiles, one of the wheels and 4 mines. Hammer needs the two side guns, two new missile launchers (mushroom clips are in bad shape, needs 4 missiles too - it has the steering wheel and all the engine detail and the body is in good shape. Still can't believe I got them both plus a Patriot for 23 bucks. Cold Front's gun was in the driver's seat - a nice surprise!
Got the two lots of 90/91 figs too - most in good condition/some missing or broken crotches - just need some o rings for some of them. Last edited by HitandRun; 10-30-2019 at 11:42 PM.. |

I got the A-10 Thunderbolt and while it's a very cool remake on the Rattler it leaves something to be desired for me personally. Without trying to get poetic or romanticize a plastic toy - usually when I get something new - whether a figure or vehicle it will evoke some sort of memory of my childhood and or overall excitement of getting a new piece for my collection. I looked at the A-10 and compared it to my Rattler (I have the 25th anniv edition) - to me the Rattler is too iconic and perfectly Cobra to be a Joe vehicle.

On the tail of my underwhelming purchase of the 1997 A-10 I bit the bullet and decided to get a Phantom X-19. It is complete except for the nosecone - I found someone on ebay selling repro 3d printed nose cones so I will probably get one of them rather than pay an outrageous price for the original. I am excited for it to arrive - I still remember seeing it for the first time in one of those catalogs I had as a kid as a prize if I sold enough wrapping paper.

Here are my recent finds. The train set appears complete; the engine is damaged. The Hooded CoCo is in great condition. Found both at a vintage toy/game shop in the Phoenix area.
