Would the Brawler and Fort America be worth picking up? I really don't know much about these vehicles.

I just picked up both recently and they’re kinda meh now that I really look at them. The brawler has this front panel that shoots off that’s always missing and has a lot of neon orange. Fort America does make sounds but it’s almost like a low budget transformer knock off. I’d probably go with the monster blaster instead of the brawler and the battle wagon over fort America. Two other underrated vehicles are the Hammer and 92 HQ, but those are a higher price range than the other 4.

Question for Raider owners - how fragile is the vehicle? Does it have any parts that are very prone to breakage?

Yes, the side guns, the spot lights and the missile rail tabs.

Thanks. That's pretty much the only remaining vintage vehicle I had interest in acquiring. Would like to get one more tank for the Joe team but when looking at the Raider it just seems to fragile although its a very cool looking vehicle.

Not from the 82-94 run but I just picked up the DTC Night Ops Humvee, 2002 Destro's Dominator and Tomax/Xamot from 2002.
I have gone through pretty much every era from vintage to modern over the past two years getting vehicles/selling vehicles etc and find myself pretty much done with what I want from the vintage line. I had my 90s vehicle phase (which I posted on this thread about...probably too much lol). The only vehicles i am on the fence about are the Raider and Battle Bunker (thanks to Xerofall for the feedback...still on the fence about it). I have pretty much overhauled my whole Joe collection - huge transition as I got rid of my modern era figures. As I have read through the forums and noticed alot of issues with the vintage era plastic - elbows cracking, parts prone to breaking etc. I would say I am pretty much in the "home stretch" of finishing out my collection. The only vehicles remaining that I am targeting are the 2005 TRU Moray Hydrofoil and perhaps the Jungle Strike and Desert Humvees. For figures all I am targeting are 1998 Lt. Gorky (Big Bear)/ 1998 Col. Brekhov (Red Star), 98/00 Heavy Duty and going to try and build up a 2003 Crimson Guard Immortals small army. Sorry for the diatribe. It's just been a fun trip delving into my childhood/teenage/early 20s years of collecting. I know I am a bit off in terms of my affinity for the battle corps era stuff and the late 90s/2000s vintage re-releases. Outside of the humvees I am not touching any of the other VvV/Spy Troops stuff though LOL. |

The hoses on the side guns have a habit of breaking due to the stress. Those are easily bought on eBay but replacing them without breaking the tabs that attach the side guns to the body is a tricky maneuver. |

Yea it's an awesome vehicle - alot better than the Hammer/Brawler IMO. I actually think all three of the humvees released in 2004/2005 were great vehicles. I had all three and then sold them off when I got back into focusing on vintage figures and am now probably going to re-purchase all three. Luckily I got this one MIB for about the same price I sold mine for a year or so ago loose.
