It's been a little while since I've had a GI Joe haul of this size. This helps plug in some missing holes in my collection. Here's what I plan on keeping from this: Goro, Purple Viper, Hiss tank driver, Overlord (complete), T'J Bang, Hawk, Cover Girl (for customs), and Zartan's thigh pad. With this Purple viper, I now have all 13 O-ring variants of the original Viper (and some red laser ones also).
There's a ton of accessories in this lot I still have to go through. I'm sure I'll be eliciting help with some of those next week. There's also a few figures that I may swap out with my current figures, because they're in such good shape. This lot included one of the nicest Destros I've come across. That Storm shadow is not as yellow as he appears in the photo either. |

The legs on mine snapped in my hands so I ordered two loose figs and they did the same thing. |

I just got a junker Shark 9000... can someone who owns one tell me how many missiles it's supposed to have? I'm seeing 6 maybe? The instructions make no mention of the missiles in the "Contents" part.
It's got room for 10.

Mine has 8. Which I am pretty sure that all it came with. As it only has room for 8 on the part tree. I can send you a pic if you want.

No that's good. I saw the places for the 8, but then I figured I'd have two in the launcher as well.

What I'm confused about is... what are these sticker sheets I have now? They feature stickers for the Action Force Roboskull, ASP, CLAW Glider, FANG helicopter and the MMS, with some others too, all on the same big sheet. Why are the stickers for all these vehicles on one sheet? They aren't a modern sheet as the stickers are barely adhesive and the paper shows it's age. As far as I'm aware there was never any big "multi vehicle playset" or anything. Maybe you could order these stickers direct from Palitoy at the time? No idea. But now I have both versions of Roboskull! |

Maybe someone created those stickers many years ago themselves. Maybe they were just "ahead of their time" in terms of at home printing? That's very cool though.

Unfortunately though, I somehow managed to miss on the first Roboskull that the right chin gun is missing the tip. Then lo and behold, I have the same issue with the newer one as well! They're both flawless apart from the exact same issue. I even had to check it wasn't some weird design choice, but no, just a coincidence. I'm not surprised they snap off so easily though. It appears as though the gun tips are glued on rather than being part of the original moulding process as there aren't any shearing marks on the broken ones and there's a seam underneath the surface where the tip attaches. This is just asking for trouble if true and it's no wonder the tips break off so easily. |
