I'll second this. Even if it did have the original band it probably wouldnt work anyway. My sealed Effects has the same accessory and it is a "special" band, but if it's loose I cannot see most collectors caring. At least the ones who are going for loose figs.

This is not necessarily a haul...perhaps an almost-haul. (lol) I was poking around at a local antique store that sells toys (I did buy a carded "Resolute" wave Firefly, but that's a story for another thread...), and occasionally they have some stripped and old worn out RAH vehicles here and there lying around on any given shelf; I saw an '86 Night Raven, a Triple T tank (minus a tread), and a Devilfish that looked destined for the rusty old boat-yard. They also have a couple of glass cases full of vintage figures, parts, weapons, and accessories. I've pretty-much cherry-picked anything decent out of them, but what captured my attention the most out of all of this was an old '86 Cobra Stun...I was always intrigued by it as a kid, but it was one of the original vehicles that eluded me. I had never seen one in person until today, and it was even more fantastic than I had imagined...
It did seem a little smaller in-hand than I would have expected, but I was really impressed by the level of detail it sported. I inspected it thoroughly, and it did seem to be in pretty-decent shape for a thirty-plus year-old used toy, although the double red antennae were missing and/or broken off, along with the driver, no labels, and I'm not sure what else might be missing since I'm not familiar with the Stun. But I've always wanted one, and I've been tempted after many years of being a MISB snob to just restore decent loose specimens for a fraction of the price of more mint examples; the thought of restoring old beloved toys is just an intriguing notion to me, and I'd imagine it's a very rewarding experience to do so... Anyway, I've always wanted a Stun, so I thought to myself, "Why the heck not...it's only ten bucks, and it'll be fun to track-down all the parts and clean it up." I didn't detect very many scratches, if any at all, and no cracks, and I just about pulled the trigger, as it were. So I looked it over a second time, turned it over, and...that's when I noticed one of the main tabs on the body was broken off underneath. Crap!! I was so close to finally owning a Stun...at the very least though...I had the chance to check one out in person so I'd know if it was really something I'd want to invest any real money and time in acquiring. Man, is it a nice Cobra vehicle...

Not a haul but I found an old CC pistol inside an armchair that has been in the family for 40 years while taking it to be junked today as a favor for my mother. That thing has probably been down there since at least 1988 or so probably.

Got 91 Heavy Duty in the mail today. Whoever packed it didn't label it fragile, resulting in both gun handles and the red eyesight being broken off. Ugh.
Also finally completed Blowtorch. I had been using the weapons pack blowtorch. |
