Okay so I cashed in my coin jar and had more than I thought. I was surfing ebay last night and found a lot that had 4 or 5 figures and one of them was a nice Starduster.
I already picked up a lot this year on ebay that also had a nice SD figure. I put some bids in and kept getting out bid. Finally I threw a bid down and was high bidder. Then around 1 am I got outbid. With just a few seconds left I made a split decision, do I want a 2nd SD that is incomplete, or keep this $$ and get one that has his helmet, gun etc. I watched the seconds tick and just about to hit the button and let it slip by. If you had a SD would you have bought a second one for only $67 and $2.99 s&h? Was this too cheap to pass by? |

i have a hard time buying incomplete figs, somethng just doesnt sit right with me, it is always so much harder to find those missing pieces opposed to just forking out the money for a complete one.
but depending on the condition i might buy it if the fig was mint, than you could always have spare parts if needed or maybe get the missing pieces, sell it and make a profit.

I don't like to buy figs, especially rare ones, that are incomplete. Good job on the pass.

That may be what you are willing to pay, but that is not accurate of what they are selling for. If you check completed listings, not one has sold for under 60. (I say that even though there is one that sold for 5.00, but I won't count it as the same seller sold it again a few days later. No feedback given or received for the sale.)

I would never waste my money on an incomplete figure, especially one for whom the weapons would be really difficult to locate.
But that's just me. I paid $125 for my complete Starduster version C (with jetpack and pocket patrol pack version) and I felt that was a decent price. I'd much rather have paid that than spent the next two years searching for the accessories and inevitably ending up paying just as much. |
