I have the later mail-order one, missing the helmet, and that one didn't come with the jet pack, instead it came with the 3-figure belt case. They are also subject to sun fading (like mine).
I also had a viper pilot and file card I picked up at the flea market when I was a kid, but I sold the card and can no longer find the figure. :(

I have a soft spot for him as he was the last Joe I got in the original run. The mail-Away from the cereal was in '87, and I was 16 at the time. I was getting out of Joes/Toys and getting into girls. I had gotten the Fridge already, Starduster was the last.
They run for a bunch on eBay, but some are over-inflated. Version A certainly goes for the most, Version C is the most common. Yet, because of 'A"'s sales, sellers will list C with high buy it now prices thinking they will get the same. Currently I have three in my collection that are 100% complete with File cards and the 3 comic set that was included in the cereal boxes. Also started a 12" custom... Not quite read to show the whole thing yet. Last edited by Eopie Herder; 07-29-2011 at 06:46 PM.. |

So what if you want the pieces to one? I have Starduster but have no idea where he came from - my parents went to garage sales every weekend (to this day!) and so I wound up with tons of incomplete joes as a kid, but for a lot cheaper than buying them at the store. It was awesome but means I have a ton of figures, and few parts.
How would one go about getting a visor, backpack and gun for Starduster? without breaking the bank of course! |
