I have a question. Is there a how-to thread on doing the Pythonizing process on figures and vehicles?

Thanks for the compliments on the Motor-Viper guys, I really appreciate it!
Gallows, I don't know of any walkthroughs myself but someone else might. I hand paint all my figures and for the vehicles I make multi-part paint masks from adhesive backed mesh to get a good crisp Python pattern. The drawback to this is it has round holes instead of square and it takes a while. Here is a Python Hiss I made a few years back with some custom stickers. |

That is freaking AWESOME! I can just picture it towing the Python ASP.
While I totally dig the Python STUN, I think a Python HISS would have been a cooler addition to the line. For one thing, it can actually interact with the ASP while the STUN cannot. And plus it would have been more of a "vintage" vehicle to get back on the shelves again. I know the STUN had been off shelves for a few years as well by '89 but the HISS had been away longer. Some of my Python Patrol dream vehicles: Maggot, Sea Ray, Stellar Stiletto, and Persuader!

I agree, a lot could be done with this group and it would be cool. As for me, I had all the figs back when but only the Conquest. I have since acquired the STUN and ASP. I like that they also included them in the 25th anniversary, but they could have added something new to it as well. Particularly, Hasbro could have actually given the Conquest a real pilot.
My recent PP Strato-Viper custom and older Tele-Viper and Officer (done before JoeCon 2011 set was revealed).

I love the Python Patrol so much. For whatever reason as a child that team spoke to me. Maybe it was the crazy colors or who knows.
The Python Patrol figures included in the Joe Con set was the main reason I went this year. I can't imagine spending that much on a set again. I came a day late to the con in Orlando so I missed out on the vehicle exclusives and the parachute drop figure but hopefully one day my PP will be complete. |

@KingStalin, I was seriously mulling picking up those Con 25th Python Troopers off of eBay when I ended up getting my vintage one for less than the cost of the new one, heh. It's a little disappointing that Hasbro released some of the Patrol on regular cards and not all of them. I understand not wanting to fill up waves with nothing but repaints, but to release the Officer and Siegie on cards but not the Viper, Tele-Viper, or Trooper is strange to me.
@cgcommando, that Python Strato-Viper is awesome! Definitely a worthy pilot for the Python Conquest. Makes me intrigued at possibly trying my hand at a Python Star Viper and Python Stiletto...

I haven't done any of the other vehicles in Python PAtrol that you mentioned, but I do have a Tiger Force Sea Ray. The other Python Vehicles I have are a Python Moccassin for Copperhead, and a Python Moray for Lamprey. Last edited by NetViper X; 08-02-2011 at 10:53 PM.. |

Very cool. I didn't think there was any love for Tiger Force. |

I always thought Tiger Force was awesome. The figures looked dumpy for the most part, but the vehicles looked very intimidating in that color scheme.

I have been looking at some Tiger Force figures over the last few months (essentially after I found 25th Tiger Force Duke for $3 at Marshalls) and there are some nice ones in there. But for the most part they don't look as impressive as Python Patrol. Dusty, for instance, looks good. So does Tripwire, and Duke as well (I would have to paint his hair, though). But like Roadblock, Lifeline? They don't do anything for me. The vehicles look better, as you say NetViper, very intimidating.
Actually, one I also like a lot is the TF Stalker from the TRU box. But all in all, both the vintage and then TRU Python Patrol look a lot better. Even some of the ones I don't like so much like the Siegie and SAW Viper (who seems like a relatively easy fix, just paint some black lines on him!) are more aesthetically pleasing to me than the majority of the Tiger Force. I'd love to see the Moc and Moray. Those two boats always go together in my mind because as a kid, my brother got a Moc and then very shortly afterward for the Moray!
