Hi
Did anyone get any of the micro-machine style vehicles and figures with normal 3 3/4 figures in the early 90s? In the UK we got them with carded figures but from my research they were available as restaraunt premiums and a boxed set in the US. Does anyone know if these are the same figures? I want to package them with the figures they came with, does anyone know which mini-figs went with which figures? I only had Recoil with the mini-APC and Ive seen an image of a mini Wet Suit packaged with a V1 Heat Viper. The pics of these figs are on Welcome to Joe Intel Cheers Gav |

Well there pretty rare over here too. They are the same figures though. Back in the day you could get the set from Hasbro directly through there mail away flag points program (over 20 years ago gent).
Packaging they were inserted randomly into gi joe figures in the early 90s is what I have heard. Scrounge Ebay. But last time I saw them going for 7-9 bucks a piece

Hers a pic of all the ones i have, including the command rings which i don't think were released here in the UK. Why the AWE striker was so out of scale i don't know, although the rollcage may have been tricky and fragile to make if smaller. I love the persuader though!
I've also got the camo paint tubes unused and the character stickers which we had in the UK but forgot to put in the pic.

Cheers for that. Yeah Ive picked a few bulk lots up on Ebay and was hoping to package them with the figures they came, with but if they came with any, theres no point.
Yeah Ive got some camo and stickers but Ive never seen those rings before. What series were they? Ive seen one MOC figure with these mini-figures on ebay in my whole time browsing. Here are the ones Ive got. Sorry the pic qualities poor, Ive only got paint on this computer to adjust the file size. |

In the U.S., the Micro Figures were available packaged with Joe figures in the late 80s, not in the 90s. Then they were made available for mail-order along with the Micro Vehicles, which were only mail order. I have seen some sealed Micro Figure/Vehicle combo packs that were supposedly from some restaurant, but I have no idea what restaurant or when they were sold, or if they were even from the U.S.
As it stands, I still need a Micro Vehicle Warthog to complete my set. (I have...um...no Micro Figures, I think. Would love a full set.) |

By the way has anyone ever seen any Polish bootleg action force or a GI Joe Tonka Steel Brigade JCB?
I got them on ebay recently as they caught my eye but I dont know much about them. I got a Tonka GI Joe Hummer with lights and sounds ages ago but the fact that this has Steel brigade stickers caught my eye. Has someone just stuck them on? These figures were listed as Polish but seem to be really poor copies of Action Force S1 US Paratrooper and Commando. Is there any call for these? |

Sorry I dont know why the last two pictures have done that. Im used to Fireworks.
Robowang I got my Warthog (and most of the others) from an Ebay seller in the US. He had loads at the time, said they were Dennys Wallmart stock. I didnt buy anymore incase they were different to the figure packed ones. The site I used today for research said they were Happy Meal toys though? Ive just checked and theres none listed anywhere on ebay now and I cant find the seller in my feedback as it was well over a year ago. Sorry. |

I also got a warthog and Wetsuit (I think)set off of Ebay last year. The paper insert was from Walmart, not sure if a particular restaurant or simply the store though. I'll try and dig it up tonight. There were 4 sets available of figure and vehicle.
