The other day I was thinking why doesn't Hasbro release only three figures (characters) per Wave? With the cases limited to only eight, that way they can have two of each, and then add a troop builder or characters from a previous Wave to make your case of eight. Only drawback (for Hasbro) would be to have a new Wave every eight to ten weeks. Though lately, it seems like we get a new Wave every two months anyway. Hasbro could also do the "Best of" cases in between Waves like this summers release of previous hard to get figures. Just a thought...

I wish they would make eight figures per box.
(like wave 8) if they were all "new figures" it would be beneficial. retailers would be able to order the most popular waves. or most anticipated in between waves they could determine what is most wanted I think they should make cases of 'army builders' or release special orders... like that 1 case with extra bats and snow serpents that was a good idea even if it is 'limited' atleast it is something |

I think it's because hasbro needs to include variety in the assortment because of the retailers
I remember reading a post about how walmart or some big chain didn't want to sell joes (before 25th) as singles because of the poor sales and wanted them to come up with a multipack or something.. I think that's how we got those 2 packs and 6 (or 8?) packs.. I've heard this question before.. can't remember more than that. Just my thoughts and guesses.. |

i actaully wonder why they don't have 12 figures per case like Star Wars. seems odd that they wouldn't be consistent that way.

I imagine the way the cases are built, has a lot to do with the space they take up. Eight is probably the most efficient way for them to ship the figures, and so that's what they come in.

I think Hasbro is doing a great job already with the cases and waves. No complaints from me...

An exclusives army builder set would be nice. Wasn't there a TRU exclusive 5 packs of the Vipers?

you're probably referring to what is in the signature pic of the poster above you. a six-pack, including 5 Vipers and a Viper Officer. i'd love to see something like that for the 25th line.

I think it would be more beneficial if the department stores would get in as many cases of GI Joe as they do Star Wars figures. Our local store pegs for Star Wars are always replenished and full, hardly empty.

My nearest WM is like that 2... They restock on Star Wars just about weekly, where Joes get a restock every 3 months... -_-
I'm lucky TRU is down the road. |
