That lame (in my opinion) characters such as Nemesis Enforcer, and Bazooka get entirely new molds, yet many major characters who deserve better - Flint, Major Bludd, Lt. Falcon are made from frankenstein parts much to their detriment.
WHY does Bazooka warrant that kind of attention to detail yet Major Bludd does not?! Major Bludd is a real disappointment, I just cannot tolerate the Zartan parts. |

Actually Nemesis Enforcer only has 3 new pieces, aside from the head and lower legs the rest is Serpentor.

i agree...............it doesnt bother me as much with pack-ins or even comic packs. vehicle pack-ins are a "bonus" and (for the moment at least, til their price goes up) the comic packs are a deal.
but, yeah, for single figs...everyone should be a new mold. maybe a repeat part here and there, but not 95% repeats. maybe at first when the line was only supposed to be 25 singles, yeah, but now that its a "hit", a bit more effort should be consistently put out. |

it sucks but at least we're still getting them. though I have noticed Flash parts being used a lot now for anyone who has body armor.

If using parts saves money for Hasbro and the figures look good then why complain? We should consider ourselves lucky that Hasbro is giving us all these figs. I do not mind them swapping parts to give us something new. Hasbro has done this for years and if everything was new sculpts, I believe we would get fewer figures. That is my two cents, Yo Joe!!

I don't mind them reusing molds as long as the figure is new and fresh looking. I don't see what the big deal is about reusing molds...

I'll be honest and say I'd rather have a lot of characters that share body parts than just a small number of 'original body' figures.
I guess I see why it's a drag for some folk, but personally I feel that the 25th "Franken-Joe" experiment has, in the majority of cases, been a success.

It's like any line, "usually" things get better as it goes along. The figures your referring to are older for the most part with the exception of Bludd.
If i had to guess, the newer pieces on the characters you stated are mainly because they are larger characters "muscle and girth wise" in which Hasbro desperately needed molds for above anything else. Having a character look bigger like they should is more important to me anyway then whether or not his legs have pockets in the right place. *just an example* You can somewhat get away with characters with an average build sharing similar molds, but it REALLY starts to look bad when guys like Nemesis Enforcer and Bazooka have the same body as Flint, Bludd, and Falcon. I always hated how small the old Nemesis Enforcer looked, here he was this big imposing guy in the cartoon, then this wimpy little guy in the figure. It's hard to tell from the new proto, but he should be bigger then the average "joe." I'm confidant that things will just continue to improve down the road, but making much needed body parts for the bigger guys was a serious priority and I'm glad Hasbro came through. |
