I hadn't bought a Joe (or a toy for that matter)in 17 years until a guy I work with told me about the 25th Anniversary line. I now own M.O.C. one of each single carded 25th Anniversary figure sold in retail stores so far, aside from Flint anyway. Just curious if there are alot of other people on here who got back into G.I. Joe purely because of the 25th Anniversary line also.

Welcome to the party!
You will find a lot of members here jumped on the joe train thanks to the wonderful 25th Anniversary line! I'm trying to get them all, not really a MOC person though. Though I am slowly putting a MOC set away for my 4 month old son for when he's old enough! |

I did...I stopped collecting around 1994 when GI Joes became Rainbow Bright. Now I'm hooked w\25th. And started selling my old Joes. As they are not as cool as th news and need to make space for future Joes.

Same here. Not only do I collect the 25th, I also collect the old vintage ones (Cobras only so far for the vintage).

The 25th line pulled me back in. Last time I purchased a joe was around 88. Welcome to the tank!

I stopped collecting in '85 when I was 11 or 12. I felt I was getting too old for toys back then. I wasn't origianlly going to collect the 25th line until one cold day in Decmeber I was at Wal-Mart and they had four full pegs worth of them. Temptation gave way and I left the store with eight figures. So it was 22 years for me between collecting Joes.
In retrospect I kind of wish I never started because I sure as hell can't stop! Oh and welcome to the 'tank! |

Same of kind of story. I stopped in 1989 and restarted last year, when i saw on the web that Hasbro were planning to release 25th line.
Since, i bought tons of stuff, vintage and new, and for the first time, i'm an army builder! As kid, i never had more than one figure of each. Thank Hasbro for taking all my money!!!!!!! |

The 25th line definately got me back to collecting the entire line. Since the Joe's came back in late 90's, the quality of the figures was hit & miss and that drove me to just collect my favorite characters from all the lines(ARAH, JvsC...). But after I saw the carded pic's of wave 2, I made up my mind I was gonna collect the entire line and do some troop building.
