I was at TRU today and I finally saw the senior officer three packs. I thought someone had said that TRU was going to totally redo the joe section and make it a lot bigger about a month ago. I still see the same dinky little rack on the end filled with Duke and CC comic packs. Anyway, back to the topic. I saw the Crimson 3 pack and thought that it looked a little different than the pics I've seen online. The guard and the officer both looked the same. One wasn't gold and the other didn't have the silver eyes. They were just regular Crimson guards. I thought it was a packaging error. No harm no foul. I wanted some regular CGs anyway. But then I looked closely at the CC. He didn't have the torso joint. Then I realized that it was the RAH crimson procession CC from a couple of years ago. I saw two packs like this. I have to give the culprit credit though. He posed the CC with one hand behind his back, just like the real pack. For the CGs, he put the rifle in the right hand and the pistol in the left with the little clear rubber bands. It was obvious the guy did some planning and put some work into this because the colors totally match and even a joe fan would have a hard time seeing through the ruse without having seen the actual product. Luckily there was a legit pack there for me to compare. I should have taken a picture.

I tried, but I couldn't find anyone to complain to. I guess they were running a skeleton crew. There were only two cashiers with long lines and two floor people helping kids with bikes.
So look carefully before you buy that Crimson 3 pack! I've seen swapping before, but this one was real professional. I'm not saying that it is right, but I was actually thinking of buying this. I really hand no need for the red CC or the gold CG. $15 for two CC isn't a bad deal since I've never seen any single cards in my neck of the woods. It is sad how often in our world we see some of the most inventive, detail oriented, and well thought out things used to further selfish, illegal ventures. If that same energy was put to other things then who knows what would have happened by now. Night cruise to Venus anyone? Cure for cancer in isle 3? Maybe even a few less empty pegs here in town.
