The 25th Viper is garbage. I've never handled a more suckier factory made Joe in my life. They look OK because they are Vipers, but this is nothing like the original toy. These are barbie suckie Viperettes. Last edited by sweeper; 05-30-2008 at 03:25 AM.. |

The original '86 Viper doesn't suck at all. It's perfectly proportionate and doesn't fall apart when you pose the arms. It doesn't have dolly removable clothes & eyewear. The goggles will easily fall off n' get lost. One drop next to a furnace and those babies are gone. This is Not a good toy for kids. Unless of course your kid likes having incomplete toys with important missing parts? Goggles for the head are important, it's a part that will be missed if it gets lost. Glueing the goggles in place ruins the collector's value, that's not an option for me. The original Vipers don't have long stripper legs. The arms aren't half the length of the legs!

I couldn't disagree more. Personally I loathed the balloon head of the original and always limited myself to Cobra Troopers for my army.

Four. Or three. I have three loose and one carded, I'd rather trade the carded one for something though...

As an update - I now have 10 vipers. Two I've kept MOC (one wave 7 and one wave 8 card) for now.
This is probably enough for me so I can save some money for future troops.

I now have 37 vipers and i will probably stop at that. I'm afraid of getting more with the chance they may fix the arm/hand problem and then i would need to buy fifty of those. I'm of course dissapointed with the hands on the vipers but the vets and gggles are no problem to me at all. I will probably glue the goggles on the maybe even glue the vest closed on most of my opened ones. the figure itself is pretty awesome. The lonf leg thing is really stupid because they simply aren't too long at all. The vipers arms fall to the same point on the figure as the others do. Oh well i just wanted to say i like em but do wish they would have just kept the standard hands on them.
