Yeah, the Viper hands work best with two handled weapons, like the Viper rifle or Marauder John's AK-74SU (compact AK74). I had probs with MJ's NVR rifle though. Hopefully the NVR-2 from MJ's Wave 5 will be better.
The goggles and pack are bloody annoying. But without the pack he looks pretty good. I was thinking of getting four, but may just get two. If MJ's wave 5 saves 'em I'll get 4. |

No complaints about the Viper. They look great and I was able to find as many as I wanted. Nothing but win.

I'm just not understanding the problem with the hands that a few are mentioning here. Sure they look odd without a gun, but their position is intentional. Pretend you're holding the Viper's rifle. Go ahead - strike a pose, nobody's watching. Now look at your hands. See how your wrists are? That's the proper way to hold the two handled weapon. The Viper holds his rifle better than most of the figures that come before it. The positioning gives them a versatile range of motion with both single and double handled weapons. More than most of the other figures. and any Vipers I display are either going to be pointing their guns, or lying dead at a Joes feet.

I don't mind the goggles,i just wish they would stay on better. The feet don't want to go forward so mine is leaning back.Does anyone else have problems with his right hand coming off??Mine is really loose and doesn't want to stay on.Other than those small flaws,i will pick up as many as i see.

Man, with all the problems I'm reading about here, I don't know if I want to troop build with these.
Sure, they look great holding the rifle it comes with(with the hand under the barrel....what about the other handle close to the front?!?!), but as others have said, versatility is best. having him only able to look good holding the rifle in one position is kind of crappy. And what does he look like holding pistols? And that isn't even mentioning the other problems that I have been stated....especially the backpack issue. I know from a few other figures, that the backpack issue is extremely annoying.

Backpack looks fine, standing is fine, and holding a pistol is fine. Just turn the feet to the side, then bend the foot all the the way forward & backward(maybe a few times), the turn the foot back and he stands fine.

10 Vipers I've had have no backpack issues and the feet issue is easily corrected. Maybe I just got the only 10 good ones?

Man, just looking at those pics of him really confirms my content for the figure. While I still do not have one, he looks pretty close to perfection (of course I can't judge him on articulation yet). IMO, this is a figure Hasbro really did an awesome job on and couldn't have done much better. Guess I might be in the minority on this.
