the goggles on my viper will slip around on the helmet as soon as i move the figure. i understand it's not rocket science here but mine are loose to the point that simply picking up the figure to reposition the arm causes the googles to dislodge and backpack to fall off. honestly, the googles i don't really care about. the backpack and noodle hands bug me the most. just tapping my figure will cause the rifle to fall out of his hand. the hand position doesn't bother me either if it were just one of the hands to hold the rifle handle. it would have been nice to have the other be placed in the typical position. i love the figure but it's just not up to par in terms of playability.

Got my Viper from BBTS a couple of days ago. I don't think the figure is disappointing in the slightest bit. I don't have any problems with his feet, his goggles, his arms, his vest or jacket like a lot of people have complained about. I love the figure and think it looks great. I touched him up a bit (added more silver to his boots, repainted his red gloves and grenades a brighter red, painted his collar red and added red stripes to the sides of his upper legs, added some silver to his goggles and gave him a flesh colored neck. All so that he matches the artwork a little bit more)!
Good job by Hasbro. I give the figure a good, solid 8 out of 10!

those touches look good, nice!
I was thinking of trying to touch them up as well, I liked the small things they added in the Viper Pit pack, with the painted goggles, grenades (though they used a different red in the 25th one which makes it look ok), buckles, and I personally really like how the viper pit used black for the gloves and straps, it looked great with the red on the armor part of the gloves. |

i think he looks freaking awesome but his hands suck imo. i don't have a prioblem with anything else on mine other than his goofy hands. i think the crimson guard owns his face in every way.

I just received my wave 7 figures and i opened the viper first.
In my opinion i have to say it si indeed a huge dissapointment, especially those twisted hands and the losse gogles. What they should have done was: - removable helmet with gogles molded in the helmet - normal hands - double elbow joints - tactical vest part of the body with detachable grenades so i concurr completely with the topic starter |

you know I'm kind of glad that so many people are not huge fans of the vipers. I need some and with them throwing waves 7 and 8 on top of eachother I think this is a good chance for some to be left on pegs or at the least people wanting to trade their loose ones for something else. I don't want a lot of them but a few would be nice.

Man, I wish I saw 15 Vipers just laying around at my local stores. Wave 7 is pretty much wiped out in my area. I saw scraps of Wave 7 at a couple stores a few weeks ago, now nothing since then.

Personally I love the new Viper. The seperate vest really gives them more of the heavy infantry feel to me as it actually looks like a flak vest. That compined with the full mask and backpack look perfect to me. Much like our infantry is equiped. I also do not mind the mask/goggles combo as I think of the reflective shield as body armor, and the goggles as night vision that can be used instead of the shield.
