I consider myself a collector of GI Joes and I have been getting all of the 25th anniversary Joes. I only have 1 each of all the characters but a couple I have doubles on, like the ones I really like. Let me get to the point of this post. Why is it when I go to a store I see people with carts of these GI Joes. I went to a Target and I was looking for a Major Bludd. Now I know why I can't find him, this guy had about 20+ Joe's in his cart and all the Major Bludds around 4 of them, I asked him "hey I have been looking for one for days" and he said sorry man I need these for my kid. I was pist off, but there was nothing I could do. I work about 60 hours a week and I only go to stores when I have time. So when I see some guy in his mid 20's balding, over weight, and an attitude problem, lying to me that he has a kid, it pisses me off. It's one thing if you have a kid and get him 1 of each guy, but this guy with 20+ Joes saying there for his kid. What a joke, I mean this guy lived with his parents still, no way he had children. Anyways I'm just annoyed, I missed out on a Major Bludd and have not found him at all in my location. I guess i'll keep trying next time I have time to go to stores.

wait, like this post?:
http://www.hisstank.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10518 Now, the caveat: I am not knocking the guy, but that is some display of compulsivity and an unequal display of collecting. |

*EDIT* Opened this back up. Discussion shouldn't be stopped. Let's see where this goes...
-------------------------- Sorry for your luck, but someone beat you to the figures, simply put. I understand that you work 60 hours a week which makes it really tough, so perhaps visiting the sightings thread here and working on a network in your local area would help. At the end of the day though, anyone with money in their pocket has the right to buy whatever they want, when they want. This question isn't pointed at you, Duff..just a generalized statement: Who's more selfish? The person who buys a bunch of something with their hard earned money...or the person that walks in behind them and is angry that they couldn't buy a bunch of something themselves? Keep in mind,...wave 8 has been out for what? a week or two now? You'll find what you're looking for. Everyone wants everything right now...not even taking in to consideration that theres 3489753489753489 other people looking for these RIGHT NOW too. |

I feel your pain, but you know, you said you worked 60 hours a week.
If it is hard finding time to go out and buy toys, as you work 60 hours or so, like me...well...I work about 50+ a week, and I have a 4 month old baby, and bills, so not really having any time to go out and find stuff like I used to. My advice to you is to do what I do, order them online. You can even order them in the time it took you to make this thread! Go order them online, and your problem of bumping into toy terrorists, and finding spare time to go out and buy joes will be saved. Save time and money! Order online! Problem solved, your welcome! |

I live in England and have no trouble getting the 25th Joes. I have them all so far, including many 'army multiples'. If I can manage it...
Oh for the chance to go to a store to "fill my basket" with Joe figures. I'd do it in a second...

Guess it depends on where your at. I have everything released at retail so far and have been able to do some troop building as well. Like I said in another thread, I hit up Target yesterday and got extra wave 8 fig's(2 each of SE & Python Patrol Officer), as the store had 2 complete sets of wave 8. Went back to the same store a little bit ago, and all the wave 8 fig's are still there(2 each of Bludd, Flint, RB, Viper, and Baroness) minus what I bought yesterday.
