If the club continues giving us the correct versions of classic characters I wouldn't mind seeing Footloose, Law and Order, Frostbite and Cover Girl re-done.
If it's Joes we have yet to see, then Lifeline, Airtight, Keel-Haul, Tollbooth and Cross Country would be my picks. I'd be all over Oktober Guard figures too. |

It would be really cool if the Club (or HTS) started doing monthly classic figures like Mattel is doing with He-Man. I'd pay $15 a month to get a new 25th-style Joe.

Would be cool, but it won't happen. I think, aside from the occasional figure being worked into a line a la Lowlight, this is as good as we're going to get. Which is better than nothing, and I think, pretty exciting. Nothing wrong with the slow pace/long view of getting a couple ARAH-style figures every year. Anticipation is part of the collecting experience.

If the club goes all for filling the gaps in ME/25th figures, I will support them to the best of my ability.
Depending on what Hasbro does with the brand over the next couple years, I think the Club has a FANTASTIC opportunity to really benefit by offering retro product. But keep in mind, just because the Club does something doesn't mean Hasbro can't or won't do it EVENTUALLY. Best examples come from Transformers, where the club did the best "retro" Ironhide available in 2005, only to have Hasbro produce a better offering in 2008. Or the Decepticon seekers, con exclusive in 2007, but by this point, all except Thundercracker have been done in the normal retail line.

the only advantage that the club could do is utilize molds that Hasbro has cancelled.. but so far they will NOT foot the bill for Molds of protos that havent been made. EX: There IS a Howler prototype that exists. However I dont think it got a mold made of it... if it did, theres a chance the club could put one out (granted, it probably be priced at 70+bucks) but if it has no mold.... not likely.

I don't understand why people wouldn't be in favor of this. It's perfectly clear at this point that Hasbro has moved on to Renegades and away from the Anniversary stuff, so why not be happy that SOMEONE is willing to produce them?
Isn't an expensive Dial Tone better than no Dial Tone at all? Those folks who want to spend the money can have it, and those that don't aren't out anything, because these figures wouldn't be appearing at retail anyway. Justin you were asking a rational question to sect of our community that isn't rational to begin with. |

Lowlight is irrelevant to this scenario because he is a retail Hasbro figure that wasn't designed with the same constraints the collectors club has. not to mention there simply is no connection between those three characters in regards to selection for production, and Dial-Tone certainly wasn't produced by the club because Lowlight was made in POC, which in turn would mean Lifeline is due up. |

I'd love to see Oktober guard, the rest of the Dreadnoks all 25thed out.
I'd also like to see a Cobra set: - Big Boa - Raptor - Crystal Ball - Metal Head - Saw Viper x2 Women of Valor 3-Pack: - Cover Girl - Bombstrike - Fire Wall Gi Joe Support Team Alpha: - Airtight - Footloose - Iceberg - Crazylegs - Jinx - Law & Order Gi Joe Support Team Beta: - Psyche-Out - Fast Draw - Hardball - Lightfoot - Repeater - Muskrat Gi Joe Support Team Gamma: - Blizzard - Budo - Backblast - Downtown - Scoop - Ambush Gi Joe Support Team Delta: - Freefall - Bullhorn - Rampart - Salvo - Pathfinder - Stretcher That would do... I think we will see Lifeline, and we know Dial-Tone is on the burner. I'd really like to see Kwinn at some point.
