I have to say my comic pack Ripper can't(or can just BARELY) hold his own weapons(same with Torch), J.O.L. and back pack won't stay together.
Storm Shadow comic pack(red hood), back pack is useless, hands are WAAAAAAAAY too big to hold swords and he can't hold onto his bow in a believable pose(plus the blue & yellow colors...WTF ?) I'm wondering is there any testing done by Hasbro as to whether or not figures...."function" ? (can hold weapons, backpack stays in place...etc)

I noticed most the figurees cant hold the weapons...but i havent opened very many at all. The on that held his weapon best was the Snake eyes in the TRU 5 pack. His sword handle is very thick and forces his hand to hold it.

I had the same problem with allmost ALL of mine so far, So i fixed them. I took an x-acto blade, and cut the trigger finger free from the rest of the hand. And now that it's separated, it can ACTUALY go into the trigger guard. they all hold their guns SOOO MUCH BETTER now.

I'm bothered by the grip on weapons. Kung Fu Grip this is not!
My biggest gripe is the stiff joints in some figs. I feel like I'm going to snap an arm or leg off! My 1st edition Wave 1 Roadblock left arm almost snapped off to move it one click down. Crimson Fred had similar problems with joints. I love how articulated they are, but at what cost? I guess they do keep their poses better this way.. if you dont sheer off a limb in the process. |

Wow, cutting fingers? A bit drastic I think... Mine took a little fiddling, but they all hold their weapons fine. A little advice - if the hands (or anything really) are warped from the packaging or whatever, just boil some water, pour it in a cup, and dip the part in question. It will soften the plastic and return it to its original shape, and you can even tighten the grip a little, run it under cold water and it will be able to hold anything you want. This works on the newer (like post-'97) RAH figures as well.
The figure I'm most disappointed in is Duke. The wrist joint is unnecessarily ugly of course, but the big problem is the elbow articulation... I think he can only get about a thirty degree bend there, not enough to hold a weapon properly. Here I think cutting the figure a little is justified, but I can't bring myself to do it... |

I havent had anyone who wont hold their weapons but I have had some whos weapons fall out easily so i just use the thin clear ruber bands they come with.
But, SS hands are horrible when it comes to holding his swords. And its somewhat disapointing that Im terrified of turning their wrists. Ive had to wrists snap right off out of the box. |

I haven't opened any of mine yet but i did order a few Stinger Drivers in the mail, which obviously came loose. After posing them for a few minutes i noticed they don't hold the rifles to well. But after playing around with it for a while you can eventually get him to hold it right...
