Straight from Hasbro as of a couple days ago:
HASBRO'S RESPONSE: Hi Matthew, Thank you for contacting Hasbro, Inc. We are pleased to have the chance to respond. Please be advised we have not increased the pricing for our 25th Anniversary figures. When these figures are sold to the retailers we provide them with a suggested retail price. Unfortunately, we are unable to control what they decide to sell the figures for. We want to assure you that we are dedicated to maintaining quality products and service. We hope you and your family will continue to enjoy our products for many years to come. Again, thank you for contacting us. |

Maybe, but it still does not hurt to voice your opinion to them that their price increase is still unfair.
Check out this letter posted by onefastbird95: For everyone that wasn't positive if Hasbro raised the price on 25th Anniversary GI JOES, well they responded to the letter I wrote and gave the answer: Hi Matthew, Thank you for contacting Hasbro, Inc. So, we now have word from Hasbro that it has NOT raised the prices for the single figures. So that means the retailers are the ones dictating this. All the more reason to let Walmart know we are not happy about it.
http://www.hisstank.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7604 Thanks for the correction of the earlier post, Shock! Walmart pays Hasbro $3.76 per fig and currently charges us $6.84, formerly $4.88 in January and $5.44 recently. |

Will you admit your error when Target increases the price, too? |

Compulsive,
Why defend Wal-Mart I think they are capable to do so themselves and the whole point of this issue is to leave feedback to Wal-Mart not to argue with other hiss tank members if it works great if not well that sucks, but it takes 5 minutes of your life to send them your thoughts. I for one will admit if it doesn't work, but would stand up again to them or any big company in my small way. Its never an error to voice ones opinion thats why most major companies have complaint departments hell some encourage you to call or e-mail them if you have a problem or feel something is unjust. If the consumer shuts up everytime something viewed as unfair comes up then that would be a pretty sad day. Thunderdan is not calling bbts liars he said in an earlier post that they are smaller than WM and maybe did get an increase even if he did, do you own the company or something, if not then don't worry I'm sure bbts will be fine. Here is the link:http://www.hisstank.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7604 Here is the number 1-800-WALMART Don't be afraid to voice your thoughts on the subject thats what the form and number are for. Well, in order for me to admit an error, there would have to be one on my part. |
