Walmart recently raised their prices on everything, including Joes.
Not sure if you guys checked, or if you just go in to buy Joes. |

Thats true but this thread is about Joes not toilet paper or milk price increases or any other item for that matter. I don't think Target & K-mart are lower on many other things than Wal-Mart but if they are by all means make them price match any other items as well. Sad but true fact that WM is almost always lower on price so thats why even if you hate them you eventually get lured in there for something. With the revision cases showing up at WM now and wave 7 shipping soon it's good info to have to save a little money in this crazy overpriced world.
P.S. I know all prices are raising and the dollars worth nothing. Just trying to inform Joe collectors on a Joe site that they can try this option. No one has to do it, just wanted to put it out there for those that didn't know about the price match policy. Last edited by Snake-Eyes; 04-10-2008 at 06:12 PM.. |

Just had a story to share from this weekend. I went to Walmart yesterday with my previous purchase receipts in hand along with receipts from TRU & Target for a reference to price match and was completely shot down. I was told (by what I think was a manager)that they needed an ad to price match and that they would only call other stores for current purchases.
Ironically enough I look behind the (manager)cashier and see a Firefly figure sitting there. I asked the woman if it was a return and she said yes so I told her I wanted to purchase it. I then asked her to call to price match it. She rolls her eyes and asks one of underlings to do it. So the cashier calls and is literally on the phone with TRU for ten minutes and can`t get an answer as to how much their figures cost. I told her to forget it and just purchased the Firefly at $6.84. The moral is Walmart is big pain in the a$$ but I am a dumb a$$ because I will pay what they want if they have what I need. |

At a particularly ghetto-a** WM near me, I had to wait to have my question answered in the housewares dept. until the employee finished her cellphone conversation with her boyfriend. in the middle of an aisle. On the clock. Awesome. Just as I walked away from her, I watched as another employee's pants fall down to his ankles because he was wearing them 30 sizes too big and had been falling mostly off of his butt in the first place. I must be getting old, because if either of those people worked for me, they'd be fired in an instant. Seriously, if WM could find some sort of simple android or robot to fill those positions, they'd do it without hesitation. I just know it. Heh... knowing WM, i'll bet the next step is to have the Chinese sweatshop labor come over here and work at the stores as soon as they're done making the crap over there. Cut out the middleman. Pass the "savings" on to you... /end rant |

Yesterday I actually got my WM to price match Battle Armor CC and I.G. Destro. She did ask me about the ad from another store but I told her I did not have one. I informed her that K-Mart, Target, and TRU were cheaper so take your pick. She said how much cheaper I told her about 1.00 so she just rang them up at 5.84 each. The managers at some WM must just be on a power trip.

I've done it three times. Just once was I questioned about an ad. I told her there is no ad because 5.99 is the regular price. She told me that with more expensive items, they need an ad...but for less than one dollar per fig they weren't supposed to bother wasting time on it.
All three times, they changed the prices without any hesitation. I'm keeping a Target receipt in my wallet just in case though. |

Just went in WM and found the three new figs from Wave 6. I keep a Target receipt in my pocket with $5.99 Joes on it. I showed the cashier and he rang them at $5.99. He could not believe that WM is higher than everybody else. He was especially shocked that they were not even beating K-Mart.

How is it ignorant she could have called any of the 3 stores to check the price. She asked what the difference in price was and I told her about a dollar and she rang them up before I even knew it or I would have said 5.99, sorry If I didn't have her void the sale so I was charged the 30 cents I robbed from WM. On my 2 figure haul out the door with my ski mask on. Whats ignorant is Wal-Marts greed fueled price increase, Since no other brick and mortar retailer has raised prices almost 3 weeks since Wal-Marts increase.
