I just got my second Rockslide recently, and I have to say, this is a fun toy and proof that at least some good designs did come out of the movie. Pushing it across the snowy dunes of my sofa, I could only imagine what I would have thought of this when I was 8 yrs old.
The skis turn, but aren't loose, even figures with a "skirt" can sit fairly well in it, it's got an awesomely sleek look, and even the missile launchers that curse so many other toys in the line aren't anywhere near as obtrusive or noticeable here. Even with the missiles inserted, it looks like a natural part of the mechanisms. Even better, whatever madman was in charge of the manufacturing decided to put the most absurdly overpowered springs I've ever seen in a toy in here. Most missile launchers in the RoC line are lucky to make it three feet. Safety concerns have neutered toys since the 80s, and now these absurdly large guns can't even knock down a figure supported by a stand. Apparently someone said, "Enough is enough!". The cannons on the Rockslide can take someone's eye out from clear across a living room! It also has a nice little undocumented feature, in that the rear tread can be adjusted and the vehicle can be parked in a "standing" position. Even better, for those that like realism, the Rockslide is one of the few vehicles that seems to give the driver protection from (almost) all sides. So yeah, I thought I'd share my love of this little dark horse. If I have any complaints I wish the camo was lighter and more "arctic", and maybe if it was pulled back an inch or two it could be a two-seater, but even still, having a couple flanking your Ice Saber or Snowcat looks really nice. |

Not a fan for some reason. Thought about it, looked at all the pics, but just not a fan of the design.

I wasn't a huge fan of this vehicle until I got it out of the package and handled it. With that said I have 3 of them now. I have to agree these are really cool, I actually like all the ROC alphas and this is among the best. If your not sure open one

I think it's cool. I modded mine so the driver's backpack (in my case, the ROC Doc) can fit behind him on the vehicle itself.
