I have made a couple of posts calling for Snake from Transformers to be made as a 25th figure (Snake is an older incarnation of Cobra Commander seen in Transformers). Now I have a much bolder plan.
How about a 25th GI Joe vs Transformers line? Surely this would sell better than the SW/TF stuff or the TF'ing Marvel figures. Imagine the following: A box set with Snake (Cobra Commander), Hot Rod, Arcee, Springer and Ultra Magnus. The Transformers would be the human forms they had in the episode "Only Human." HISS tank outfitted with Hyper Velocity Rail Gun (from Marvel GI Joe 139). This is the gun that Megatron was desperately after. Various humans from Transformers done in 25th GI Joe style, such as Sparkplug, Spike, Dr. Arkeville, Marissa Faireborn, etc. Humans have played such an integral role in the TF story, yet they are ABSENT from the toyline. Marissa Faireborn is the daughter of Flint and Lady Jaye, making her even more connected to GI Joe. I really think this stuff would sell. If you work at Hasbro and check these forums, try to bring these ideas up in a meeting! You will be a corporate hero when this flies off the shelves!

i must be the one who really hates this idea. i hate crossover lines. i hope they never do this. i like TF and joes but i hate to see them put together .it would be the 2.5 line all over agin. look how well that went over. they need to keep them the way they are.

I can't say I see this working. I mean, it would be way cool to have a transforming HISS tank in 1:18th scale, that could hold figures and then transform, but what would the cost of something like that be, and the resulting price point? If they went and made 2.5 inch Joes, well, as xhairs said, how well did those go over the first time?

I actually don't like this idea. It may be cool to have a spike or carly action figure, but look at it this way, the movie came out, but where is Sam's figure? I can maybe see doing a combo pack of like Duke and Flint with mini prime and ultra magnus figures. That could be cool.

i don't like crossover lines, and i don't particularly like transformers, either. i would much rather see the 25th line continue on, and expand, than see something like this. i obviously couldn't say whether this would be a big seller or not, but i can say one thing: i wouldn't buy any of it.

Count me in the "pass" category.
They might work well in the mini-series crossovers, but I'd rather see the toy shelf space reserved for the the 25th line and eventual movie line. |

As for some of the above discussion, I am not calling for GI Joe/Cobra vehicles to turn into robots. I am merely saying Hasbro could pull from the old Marvel crossover, the cartoon crossover, and maybe put a few of the humans from TF into a new line. It could even be released under the TF banner, while possibly releasing Snake in a TF multipack and seperately on a 25th GI Joe card. That way both the GI Joe and the TF crowds get pleased.

the idea is good but i still wouldnt buy it. not all joe fans like TF and not all tf fans like joes i think it would be a wast of time and money when they could put that money in to the joes and TF classics.
