I was wondering if anyone has tried to correct Hasbro's mistake by reversing Gung-Ho's upper arms? I didn't want to have to crack open my Gung-Ho to remove his upper arms and switch sides with them.
I tried to take a small screwdriver to separate his upper arms from the shoulder joint but I didn't want to force it. I was thinking that they just snaped on to the shouldler join so that all you had to do was pop it off. After giving it a try it looks as if the upper part of the arm has a complete post going all the way through the shoulder join instead of just having a little tab on each side. If anyone has done this before, or has any suggestions, please let me know. As for now I just flipped the arms over to face the other way. The inner part of his arms are now facing outwards, but at least his muscles are now facing in the right direction. |

Cracking him open is the only way. I used an exacto knife to split the torso open. You can boil and pop the lower arms off to switch them.
This thread will help you too: http://www.hisstank.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5093 |

I was wondering if you could pop off the upper arms from the shoulder joints while leaving the shoulder joints still attached to the torso.
if you are going to cut and glue, you may as well do it to the torso. |

i thought that gung-ho was just packaged with his arms twisted around - i haven't opened him up yet, but a few of the other guys i opened up had their arms just twisted around backwards. ace had his arm turned around with his name on the inside. i didn't think that you had to tear them apart...

you can tell because the shoulder pivot comes all the way down to the arm on the inside and stops halfway up on the outside of the shoulder where the shoulder muscle is sculpted, but on Gung Ho, when his biceps are turned correctly the shoulders are reversed. |

I thought they were just rotated around, too, until someone pointed out that the shoulders stick out in an odd way if you flip the arms around. It helps to compare a 5-pack GH to the carded version.
