I’m kind of new to the site and was hoping that someone would know the answer to this.
I started buying the original Joe action figures back in 1982 and collected them until I thought I was to old for toys (Or at least I let my friends tell me I was to old for toys, but my lack of toy buying didn’t last too many years). I had always collected Star Wars and kind of let my Joe collections set in a box until I really looked at the 25th anniversary line about 2 months ago. Now I’m buying up as many loose and carded toys as my budget will allow off e-bay (Stores around me really don’t have anything left on the pegs). Anyway my question is this, is Hasbro going to do any more of the ARAH line? I really don’t care for the ROC line and there are so many cool characters they haven’t made yet. |

Hi,
as for now The 25th Anniversary/Modern Era-line was cancelled end 2009 and followed up by ROC/POC. Now and then, Hasbro throws ARAH-fans a bone by tossing in a 'Classic' figure in the ROC-line. I.e. Monkeywrench, Night Force Shockblast, Night Force Tunnel Rat, Sgt. Tunderblast... Also, they now sell some classic battle stations: Outpost Defender, Cobra Surveillance Port and 2 other. I hope this has helped you. |

SHort answer - no.
Or at least, not any time soon. Hasbro believes that the ROC style is the future of the G.I. Joe line, and don't really have plans for any classic figures other than a couple thrown in every year to appease collectors. For example, in their most recent Qand A they've said that Lowlight, Airtight, Lifeline and Iceberg will definitely not be released this year. They have said they will consider looking at more classic releases in the future - but they've been saying that for a while now. The focus is on new versions of core characters, rather than updating of the old characters. |

You should also try a few discount stores like TJ Maxx, Marshalls and Ross as some of the 25th toys are now showing up at those stores

No. Hasbro has decided to punish us for some reason or another by giving us two years of garbage.

Assuming the Assault/Defense of Cobra Island sets sold satisfactorily (from Hasbro's standpoint) I think they should consider doing this again, as there are many solid characters that could benefit from the 25th Anniv body-style design/treatment. The caveat is that Hasbro actually has to make some effort - Monkeywrench thrown into the Wal-mart exclusive pack was pretty lame, and I think nobody would give a rats a** about a couple of 7-packs filled with zero-effort figures like that.
