A 25th version? Yes. An ROC version? Please don't.

Yes and everyone saying it would cost too much should take a look at the True Heroes F-22 at TRU, which is bigger, more detailed, ALL NEW, and fits G.I. Joes. Not to mention has a similarly sized box, and is made by a much smaller, lesser known company yet the construction and durability is of very high quality.
If Hasbro has to tool up a new one I'd love to see something more durable and detailed, like how they made the Ghost HAWK and Sting Raider(both are all new molds based on the classic Sky HAWK and Water Mocassin, yet larger, more detailed, and durable). |

Should, could and would are all VERY different things here:
Should they have released it? Sure, it is an iconic vehicle to the brand (despite being based on a plane no longer in use). Could they have released it? Nope, the mold has long since been damaged beyond repair by Funskool in India, and the brand wasn't pulling sufficient retailer interest and sales to warrant expending the money to remake such a large and costly vehicle. Would they have released it? Highly unlikely. Just from my observations, it appears that at one point the other jets (conquest and Rattler) were due for mass retail release, but Target was the only venue where they appeared, meaning Target was about the only retailer to show enough interest in carrying the assortment. And they STILL had trouble selling them for $25! Had the Skystriker been tooled up, it would have been a store exclusive for $60 plus. Star Wars can barely pull the sales to support that kind of stuff consistently.

I was pretty happy with the conquest. The skystriker would've been pretty expensive. However, I'd still probably buy it.
