I grew up with Joes, first one in '82, then got out of it about '87 or so when I "became too cool for toys" in the 6th grade. I really got back in when the 25th anniversary stuff came out. I've done some research the best I can on the net and learned a lot from you folks on here. If I've read things correctly, it looks as if Hasbro released some 15th and 20th anniversary stuff. Of course, 25th anniversaries are landmark, so I was wondering if you guys thought the big H would release some 30th anniv. stuff. I wonder if some of the stuff released will be some of the figures we've been desiring but haven't gotten as of yet. Or will they include the ROC stuff in and re-release some of it? Just wonderin'. Hopefully I'll still be collecting a little bit in 2-3 years!

not likely seeing as the 30th anniversary will coincide with the Live action GI Joe sequel. however since this is all speculation so I could be wrong.

It'd be awesome if we got sequel and 30th anniversary all at once.

I doubt it. Since Joes will currently be on the shelves still, hopefully and the 30th isn't a "big" year.
Remember, Joes had been off the shelf for a bit before the 25th hit, at least the 3 3/4" scale Joes. And Hasbro wanted to get the name back in circulation prior to the movie hitting.

It would certainly be nice to have some 30th figures on the shelf. I hope the new toon will be like resolute CLASSIFIED.

Doubt it, there are still all the previous 25th style figures still for sale at HTS.com, so why would they reboot when they still have all these unsold figures? Would be nice to see figs that we all wanted ME style and and packiging also, but I don't think it's going to happen. If Low-Light comes out in ROC packaging and in blue and white camo I'm out.

I bet the GI Joe Club will at Joecon 2012 even if Hasbro doesn't celebrate the 30th Anniversary with a toy-line in store. Most likely with 25th Anniversary sculpts since not many ARAH sculpts are left.
