I picked up 3 survelliance ports and a heetseak battle station. I think that they're great. I did wait until they went on sale half price. I think they need more mobile Cobra posts.
Mobile GI Joe posts (like Outpost Defender) don't make much sense to me. If the Joes have a large base somewhere, and then respond to terrorist activity why would they need to be entrenched in small outposts? Maybe it is just me. |

The reason they included the two figures with the battlepacks is simple - figures are cheap. None were "new" designs (the Roadblock was new but really just parts from the soon to come Resolute figure), but they allowed Hasbro to justify charging a good bit more.
Still, I would love to see what kind of playsets Hasbro could come up with for the new line. As long as they refuse to make new playsets for SW, I think we can forget newly designed playsets - or even old big playsets - for the Joes. SW sells huge - and even they get clearanced!

With Pursuit of Cobra theme for 2010's Rise of Cobra lin being four different environment themes I can see new small sets for them.
City Strike - Check Point Alpha Desert Battle - Cobra Bunker Jungle Assault - Cobra Rifle Range (I know its a stretch) Arctic Threat - Mountain Howitzer Plus new stuff too of coarse.

I hope so but this all depends on what molds are still available or if Hasbro's willing to invest in new molds like the V.A.M.P., Sky Hawk, and Water Moccasin. |

I would love to see more playsets but I am not sure Hasbro shares that feeling. I think the shelve space issue may be the reason why.

If shelf space is the reason, they should make a joe version of BnB where there's a different part for each carded figure. Hell, they could take a page out of the BnB caged ring and call it "perimeter fencing".
