You can often find 'Tankers selling NACs here - usually for around 25. They might be missing one of the huge honking guns on the front, but this Chopper doesn't need a gun to make it formidable. I have the desert and the green ones and both are awesome. And far cheaper used than if Hasbro were to release a new one - but don't doubt that they won't. This is way too get a mold to not get reused.

Do you still have it? I could buy it from you. I hadn't even heard of this before, and now I WANT it.
The only one on eBay for auction is missing parts, most importantly the canopy. Can't have that.

The NAC was $30-35 at retail, I'm hoping if it is reissued, that it goes no higher than $40.

I like the Dragonhawk, but the NAC just beats it every time. I also thought that the NAC looked like a cross between the Tommahawk and Dragonfly. My only complaint about it is that it doesn't hold more troops inside. Otherwise, it's one of the best Joe vehicles ever.

My problem with the NAC, along with most of the vehicles that came with the VV line/Spy Troops line is, that it is clear the vehicles were designed for young kids (5-6) rather than older pre-teens (8-10), and certainly not adult collectors re-living their pre-teen years. The end result is that the NAC has "rounded features" and "rounded edges" with no sharp lines.
For example, compare the rotor blades between the Dragonhawk and the NAC, and you will see what I mean. The end result is that the NAC (and the VV toys) look too much like, or give me the impression of being, baby toys so as not to be collectible. In contrast, the Dragonhawk is bristling with sharp lines and details so as to be fearsome.
I agree, however, that the scaling between the figure and the toy is just ridiculous. The entire toy is made up of the cockpit, though the outside design does do well to mask it. Looking at the Dragonhawk, it is a fairly decent 1/24 or 1/32 scale helicopter; it is really just placing the figure inside that makes the thing silly by interfering with the "suspension of belief."
On a separate note, I must admit that I am beginning to be a fan of the 1/24 or 1/32 scale for GI Joe Vehicles. Over the past year, I have gotten the "big ticket" items for SW, i.e. the Turbo Tank, the AT-TE, and the Crumb Bomber. All of these are more realistic to scale, but they are also huge and take up too much space. In fact, space is the reason that I can't bring myself to purchase the BMF - I simply have no place to put it. In this way, I like the size of the Dragonhawk (w/o the Wild Bill figure being inside).
Is this something you guys might support for the GI Joe line? Eliminate the 12 inch line, and replace it with the current ME/ROC line which tend to be a littler taller these days anyway. Have this 3.75 line be the primary line so that all the figures are detailed and have tons of accessories. As for vehicles and playsets, create a 2.75/Mask scale line. These will feature highly detailed vehicles and less articulated figures, though, still with minimum accessories (though not like the Sigma 6 line, more like the MASK/DC Infinite heroes line). That way there can be “realistic” vehicles for playing, but still have the figures in the 3.75 for display.
