I "collected" GI Joe's up until 1994, of course I was an army brat so all my vehicles got sold off when we left Hawaii because they didn't want to ship them. After that my kid brother trashed most of my collection until I was down to about 30 figures. When I hit 15 I was done with toys, but I started collecting again when I turned 20. Of course It was mostly Star Wars and Transformers, with a little bit of GI Joe here and there. Finally the 25th line caused me to put Star Wars and Transformers on the back burner and re-sparked my love for GI Joe. And then Rise of Cobra killed it.

Funny, 25th looked like crap and rehashes to me for the most part and Rise of Cobra brought me back after 22 years away.

Got back into it when I found the 2005 Ninja Battle Pack while Christmas shopping for my son. The next year my wife came home with 07 25th 5 packs. Then I discovered the GI Joe Club and Joe Con which led me here. Things snowballed at that point. Thanks again Destro!

Collected nearly straight through, although there was a lag in high school that was caused by sports and girls.

I quit when I was around 15 I think and got back into it with the 25th Anniversary figures, almost 15 years later.

I stopped in 84 with GI Joe, but Star Wars got me back in 95 and then came back to Joe when the 25th line dropped, but I did dabble in JvsC, VvsV, Spytroops, and Sgma 6.

I collected from 85 (4 years old) - 93 (12 years old)..
Back in 2006, I was telling my parents that the best gift I ever got for christmas was my Terrordrome in 86 and I loved my gi joes as a kid.
For Christmas 06 as a gag.. my parents got me a Sigma 6 Scuba Duke... well, it sat in the package for a few weeks, then I got curious and openened it. Awesome figs, I bought the entire line that year after not buying a joe since 93.
25th came, and was like reliving my childhood!! and I began troop building..bad bad bad..lol
Now with RoC I only buy a few figs or one that go with my 25th.
Now.. It's all about the SideShow joes.. They are SICK!

I've got back into buying toys in 2005 after a 20 year break ("growing up"). I was at BigLots, saw some Transformers on the rack, thought "how have they changed after all these years", so I bought one. Then I got into TFs Cybertron line, and both movie lines.
Watching RoC got me back into Joes. After watching the movie I came home, got online, researched all the movie figures, so I could stop at TRU the next day. I bought my first 8 figs there, then had to stop at Wal*Mart to get Gen Hawk. The Joes span RoC (primarily), 25th Anniversary, and Resolute.
Scale modeling is my only childhood hobby that has been consistent all of these years. I still build a few kits a year hoping to build a lot more in 2010. Just have to juggle the time with the Joes and TFs.
