Video games have a much larger demographic then toys. That's comparing apples and oranges.

The Flagg would ever get a rerelease is if Hasbro did a Built to Order deal.
I'm pretty sure by now that even Hasbro realizes that most kids dont play with toys anymore and that its the adult collectors who really buy the stuff. There is a collectors club for a reason you know... So yeah, make the Flagg Built to order and maybe we'll see it happen. But considering the price of plastic and workers to put it together. The price of the toy would probably be in the 200 to 300 price range. than you gotta factor in shipping. I like the idea of the carrying cases that can be put together to make the Flagg. Or at least a set of smaller playsets that can connect. I personally would LOVE to see an updated Joe HQ playset. and the Terrordrome can be retooled to fit 25th figures as well. shit....I'd even settle for a POC Terrordrome. The PIT is in a big box....but get right down to it....I'm just not impressed with the design. sigh* I miss the 80s. anyone remember that Batman playset from Batman Forever? The multilevel one? we'll probably never see toys like that anymore. |

Maybe if The Flagg came in pieces....
like a HUGE snap together model kit? It would save on shelf space. Just gonna need a lot of time to put together. |

That option was already discussed and isn't really viable.
Look at something small like the MASS Device, too many of a couple pieces, not enough of other pieces and the last piece the scalpers got ahold of early and made it almost impossible to find. Same thing would happen wiht a pieced-together Flagg. There would need to be incentive to make everyone want to buy all the pieces, otherwise they'd pick and choose just the ones they want. Why would people with space concerns get all the pieces, if they could just get the control tower and front decks and have enough that wouldn't take up space and still make a great display? Then there's the parts that would be ultra popular, the control tower section say, and the scalpers and online retailers would scoff that up so quick your head would spin because that is the piece that people have to have in order for it to be the Flagg. Without that, the rest is practically useless. No, there's just no viable way nowadays for a Flagg to get made unless they go with a completely stripped down version. That build your own somoene had a couple of pages back was probably the best idea.

Because it wouldnt come as a 7 foot long toy, it wouldnt take up too much shelf space. ok...for example....remember the Ninja Turtle lair playset from back in the day? It came with panels you put together to build the lair. Make the Flagg like that. |

A terror Drome or Defiant would be somewhat more (but still very far-fetched) possible than a Flagg. We can't even get an '83 HQ or a Skystriker. A Flagg is just not going to happen. That ship has sailed.

Maybe we need bigger stores. Let's start there.
