There's all kinds of reasons why a playset this size and expense can't really work on a pre-order basis. It takes a while to determine the price point, and lots of things have to be factored in. It ain't gonna happen, guys. Let it go.

fact is, the Joe team has always sought avenues to release big vehicles and playsets, but the market for Joe in recent years has warranted them. but a movie will change that market drastically. |

With the movie coming out, i could see Gi Joe sales being as big as it once was, maybe even bigger. Gi Joe was so popular back in the day, but we never had a movie. I can hardly wait to see what kind of revenue and new products hit once the movie rolls around...

We'll probably see a huge/big playset around the time of the movie. I highly doubt we'll see anything like that before that time though. How successful the 25th line is has nothing to do with our chances of getting a large playset because Hasbro has said repeatedly that figures sell better than playsets. This is also why you don't see many playsets in other lines. The few you do see (Mainly Star Wars ones) are usually repainted and sold as playsets in other lines (Cobra Mountain, Indiana Jones) |

Does Hasbro even still have all the necessary molds?
