I really like the RoC Shipwreck head, but I'd like to erase as much RoC from my collection as possible. Since I'm not a customizer, does anyone have any good and simple head swap/accessory ideas for Shippy? I find his skin tone makes it hard to swap him with anyone else. I'd like to try to get him looking closer to Resolute, or at least that idea. I like the night watch sailor look.
(Mods: Not sure if this should go in the custom thread or not since this is just a head swap discussion ...) |

Put the head on a beach head body paint the pants black and navy blue for the shirt and you have the perfect DDP shipwreck.

The skin tone goes pretty well with an Airborne body.

That would look sweet, but I'm really trying to avoid painting. I actually though the Beach head that came with the snarler would be cool. The black shirt didn't bother me so much, but the camo pants didn't fit.
YOJOE.COM | Wayne "Beachhead" Sneeden I wonder if a simpler way to do it would be to use the Firefly from the Gunship: http://www.yojoe.com/action/09/image...19_large.shtml Still have to paint, but a dark navy or black shirt would look pretty cool, and the pants could just stay the same gray, right? Good idea. Just take some remover to the Cobra logo. I'd like to put that torso together with the lower half of the Gunship Firefly. Would look nice!

I've seen some awesome frostbite customs here with that Shippy head, a snow job body and the fur thingy from the 25th snow serpents.
Also a scruffy Lowlight custom using the grey firefly body (ROC TRU would also rock!) and with a blond paint job for the beard.

Maybe the Tiger Force Flint body. He seemed to have somewhat of a "tan."

Thanks for the ideas everyone. I kinda like the idea of either using the Gunship Firefly and painting the arms & torso (via my quick Photoshop work using a YoJoe.com image)...
... or somehow merging the Gunship Firefly with the blue Firefly. Former seems like the easier of the two. Just never painted before, so I have no idea if I could do it right. |
