Well I figure it's time I did a review of 2009's Collecting.....let's just say it's been a wild ride this past year for my collection. Shifting from Star Wars, Transformers, Star Trek Gi Joe, DVDs, Comics, and now back to Anime Statues.
Notable Acquisitions The past year: For DVD Collection: Star Trek The Next Generation On DVD All 10 Star Trek Movies on DVD Planet of the Apes Movies on DVD Stargate SG-1/Stargate Atlantis Full Complete Series on DVD Babylon 5 Complete Series on DVD X-Men Animated Series on DVD Exosquad Season 1 on DVD SeaQuest Seasons 1+2 On DVD Transformers G1 Seasons 1-2.1 on DVD Gi Joe Collection: Crusader Shuttle 2x Vintage Night Ravens [Now both sold due to space limitations] The General Skystriker Jet Star Trek Collection: Just about all the Playmates Series Star Trek Ships Art Asylum Enterprise NX-01 Stargate Collection: Stargate Atlantis Diamond Select Series 1-3 -Completing the BAF Stargate + Ancient Drone Control Chair Stargate SG-1 Diamond Select [Finally Completing getting the SG-1 Team figures and getting a SG-1 Series Stargate] Star Wars Collection- Downsized entire collection to just a few remaining vehicles, only real thing that I got for the star wars collection in 2009 was the Republic Fighter Tank. Star Wars Collector Fleet Rebel Blockade Runner Star Wars Action Fleet Vehicles [Got a ton in trade this year and still have a few left plus the playsets] Anime Collection: Size EXPLODED this year, my room is now 90 Percent Anime.....I couldn't list all that I got for my Anime collection both figures and DVDs. Macross Cyclone with Scott Bernard Macross Cyclone Vintage with Rand figure. I did manage at least to get a Transforming Veritech even if it was a crummy 1/100 Scale Cannon Fodder [Brown Standard unit] a Revoltech Zentradi Battle Pod Banpresto DX Macross Frontier Klan Klein Pilot Statue [Probably my favorite figure of all the ones I have] Completed most of the Zoids SRDX Series figures I'd been looking for Got my Gundam Collection once again near complete and sold off the stuff I didn't really want to keep. In the end I can't fathom how much was spent the last year alone [that's for a full 12 months I can only account maybe 6k-8k for 6-8 months maybe] But one thing is for sure 2009 was a crazy collecting year, 2010 will be much more restricted to just this month and next then nothing else for a good long while that's for sure. |

I know I spent a small fortune in 2009 on my addictions. I could probably calculate the amount, but I'd be afraid my wife would find my calculations and then it would be all over for me

Outside of Duke, Snake-Eyes(night vison), Spirit Iron Knife, and Rock and Roll I got all my 60+ GI Joes this year. X-box 360 games I got Star Wars Force Unleashed, Samurai warriors Empires, blazing Angels, Vikings, 99 nights, Wanted, Sega Collection, Fallout Three, American Civil War, Dynasty Warriors, Left for dead,Batman Arkham Asylum, and Assassin Creed two Dvds. GI Joe 1.1, Resolute, Rome Season one, Revolution Complete Series. Unopened toys. Nano Viper, Night Adder, Marvel 70's Giant man and Skrull with the iron man and modern Captain America. Today I got the best of 80's Dvd past thanks to a tip from a local Tanker of it being at Marshalls. This has become my favorite site. I may comment here and there but I check a few times each day.
